Based on the results, the only conclusion that a reasonable person can draw is that the voters that are still live in the city do not see that that Mayor McCarthy and the City Council ARE leading the city TOTALLY in the WRONG direction.

You are CORRECT!!!
The folks that REALLY matter...made their voices heard loud and clear last night and voted who THEY thought could continue to lead their city in the 'right direction'  as they perceive it!!
And that my friend is all that matters...yes?

Cissy has taken advantage of countless hundreds, possibly thousands of GOVT PROGRAMS in his lifetime
yet he denies he's ever been helped.
I wonder if Cissy was immunized from GOVT FUNDED diseases like polio... Of course he was but he
denies it 'ever helped him'.
I wonder if the Transportation Bond Act that repaired many of Cicero's roads was a "help" to Cissy when
he's driving... or the GOVT FUNDED Interstate Highway Act?  Do ya think that Cissy ever drove on an
interstate???

Has box ever taken a loan from a bank?  Has he ever cashed a check or used an ATM owned by a bank?  Has box ever voted for a candidate that takes tens of thousands of dollars in campaign cash from corporate banks like Goldman Sachs?  Has box ever bought a product or received a service from a wealthy corporation?  Has box ever received a vaccine developed by a corporation and sold for profit?  Does box watch corporate owned cable TV and corporate sponsored news?  If box has done any of these things, it means he supports corporate America and corporate control, and capitalism, and it is hypocritical if he speaks against these things since he uses them.

You wrote the check to the federal government and DoD.  And boy do they cash'em!  Lockheed Martin and Halliburton are beneficiaries of all those cashed death checks.

I have no problem dealing with private enterprise in America.  They are necessary for the country to thrive.
I don't have a problem dealing with Govt in America.  It is necessary for the country to thrive.

Cissy is the one with the 'problem'.   Every day Cicero comes on this board and whines, cries and sobs
about how bad the US Govt is... but the truth is, Cicero hates all govt.  He opposes democracy, socialism
communism etc etc etc.  Cicero's solutions??? He has none.

Please tell me who I should have been voting for all these years that would have changed things as they are today?  Vote all democrat, all republican, 50/50?  Who would have improved life for all if only I had voted for them?  Would my vote have prevented the housing market crash?  Hmmm...The bank bailout was a "bipartisan" bank heist robbing the taxpayers and giving it to Wall St.  Who do I vote for, Hilary that voted for it or Bush that signed it?  Who could I have voted for to stop the iraq war?  Kerry or Clinton that voted to authorize it?  Or Bush who executed it?  How about the incarceration rate that skyrocketed beginning in 1980 and jailing people for non violent under Reagan?  Reagan has been out for 26 years, the U.S. still jails people at a higher rate than any other country.  Democrat or Republican, no matter who controls congress or the White House, the incarceration rate is still climbing.  How about domestic spying?  Bush started it, Obama campaigned against it, and what has been done about it ---ZERO.

So please enlighten me on who I must vote for to change the corrupt warmongering federal government.  I've witness the 50 year track record of you and Box.  I have to say...I'm not impressed with the change voting brings.  Unless the actions of the federal government over the past 50 years are a true representation of the people.  I would like to think not.  If it is, the society is populated with violent warmongering psychopaths that get joy out of organized murder, theft, and jailing.

Wait, let me get out my crystal ball and see what would be different.....
hold on, the ball is hung up.....
it's trying.....
sh*t, it just exploded!!!!
ANSWER:  How the hell do I know and how do you know that things wouldn't be
different...you made/make no effort to change anything other than your
constant griping, whining, bitching, moaning and complaining....do something
and maybe things might change.  Do nothing and things will never change!
REALITY CHECK: There are no guarantees in life, only opportunities to try and
make a difference.

You don't know what would change if I had voted, BUT...You know I have made no effort to change things.  If you believe the only way to change things is the ballot box, then you are correct, I haven't done anything.  But...I assure you, there are other ways to affect change.

Did the Soviet Union collapse at the ballot box?

Maybe ask someone living in California who VOTED for  proposition 13 who pays $ 1000 a year in property taxes on their  $ 800,000 house how  they feel about voting.

Or Malta, NY.

They fund their town with sales tax revenue which skyrocketed from all the businesses that came to enjoy the low taxes.

We give a giant chunk of our sales tax money to Metroplex to bring businesses here the old school way.

You don't have problems dealing with private enterprise?  Unless they don't offer the health insurance YOU demand or pay the wages YOU demand.  Then you have a BIG PROBLEM, and summonds the power of government to take control of that "free enterprise".

Box has no problem with free enterprise because he can choose not to pay money to those businesses he does not like  And that is legal with no penalty.  But...If you don't like the service of the government(like dropping millions of dollar in bombs on foreign nations) and try to withhold money from it...YOU ARE A CRIMINAL, AND WILL BE JAILED IF YOU DO NOT PAY.

For 2 reasons.....
1.idiot voters vote party line....ONLY!
2.idiot voters pull the lever for names they recognize!!! TRUE!!
Voters vote either because they 'like them', they have a (d) or (r) after their name, or they recognize their name from years before!!

IT HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH THE 'ISSUES'!!!

AGREED, Proof that:
The those who voted for Kosiur and the Ferrari are idiots
Those that did not vote are worse idiots

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.

The Polish dock workers started a chain reaction that toppled the USSR.

Voting for government allowed candidates did nothing.

The entire country should have no complaints.

They have all the candidates that they wanted and should get treated as they also wanted.

For the record, almost every county in NY sstate went to Astorino.

Cuomo took Albany, Nassau county, the Bronx, Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn.

And a couple others.
