So... What happened to the GOP Jobs Bill????

Just think of where the economy would be if the GOP got onboard an economic plan to help put people
back to work and help this country thrive instead of kicking the middle class when they are down.

The Dems had two years of total control to pass a jobs bill...After all, if it was so important to the Country, they could have used the Nuclear option to get rid of the 60 vote debate cut off...but they didn't

easier with legislation for health care reform, infrastructure and economic programs.
Catering to “Blue Dog” democrats is the main reason democrats only held the house for 4 of the last
20 years. They’re the ones supporting deregulation, tax cuts for the wealthy, and a republican inspired
health care reform. All these positions are losers for Americans and democratic voters.
Obama's "DEMOCRATS" were far from the Liberal house he would need to pass legislation with out
serious concessions from Republicans.

Luckily the Dems got rid of the "blue dog" democrats.  Now, with those pesky "blue dogs" purged from the party, this coming Tuesday, the Democrats should see a huge victory in the midterms.

In the Dem controlled first two years of the Obama admin, the problem was the Senate, not the House....
The Dems had 258 seats in the House... take away the 50 blue dogs, that leaves them with 208, they only had to sway a combination of 10 blue dogs and 'pubs to pass legislation. Everything is simple majority in the House.

Repeatedly, legislation was stalled in the Senate because the Dems couldn't overcome the 60 vote debate cutoff, which does not exist in the House.
Elimination of this rule did not require a 60 vote count, just a simple majority. Harry Reid eliminated it for nominee debate:

So it's easier for democrats to deal with the republicans that replaced them?  Sounds like a good strategy.  Purge moderate democrats by twisting their arms to vote for Obamacare, and give up the seats to republicans.

On many issues, the Blue Dogs were no different than the Republicans who replaced them.  Which is why
Obama with Blue Dogs was not a majority for most of his legislation.
