With that said...imho...life is w-a-y too short to use up my time on issues that clearly will NEVER change. (again, this airport has been being circled for a decade)
So the choice is to either live under this corrupt system forever and be a victim.....or create YOUR OWN reality.....IT IS A CHOICE.

You did not answer, are YOU going to buy Madam's house for as much as she bought it for plus everything Madam may have put into any remodeling, etc?

If you don't buy, and no one else buys, can you explain HOW Madam could move out?


Can you explain how Madam should pay two mortgages, perhaps how she could get approved for a mortgage elsewhere if she still has a mortgage on her existing house?  

Or do you advocate she rent and then not pay the mortgage on a house that she owns?


Again, you tell people to move, but can YOU state how they can move out if they can't sell their house?   Can you address that?


I don't know offhand if Madam owns a house in the city, but as the topic of this thread was a letter from a city resident about the THIEF mayor LYING to the people about CITY reassessments, the actions by the LYING DEM MAYOR affect all taxpaying homeowners in the city and so the question is really aked in general terms -- should CITY residents abandon their complaining and lose tens of thousands of dollars and move out when there absolutely is no renaissance in the city, homes are NOT selling.   Or should people stay and fight so to speak?


BUmble are you so filthy rich that moving out of a house and losing maybe $150,000 (the purchase price, plus any remodeling) would mean nothing to you---you could actually afford to "lose" that money?

my life, health and happiness is worth w-a-y more than $150K.
my life is not measured by $$$$.....NOR POLITICS.....or anyone else for that matter!!

OK, so when you lose that money and your health is more important, fine, but how do you pay for your health care, meds, food, when the bank seizes your other assets, (car, bank account, etc) to pay for that unpaid mortgage?

When you try to rent an apartment and are denied because of bad credit, will you be happy living on the streets or with the drunkards in a homeless shelter?   What happens when you can't pay your health insurance premium and your insurance is cancelled?   Or your spouse or child needs a medical procedure and you can't get a loan to pay for the bill to save their life -- does happiness mean you just let your child die because your credit is shot because you walked away from paying your mortgage, or your lost all your equity?

Oh, welfare!   Live off the taxpayer dole

You said you get all the military benefits and SS/medicare.   So you are of an age.   Hey, many people can give things up and live in a small senior subsidized apartment and exist on soc. security.


But when one is 40 years old raising children, trying to save for retirement, and in case you don't know, parents income are taken into account for any government tuition assistance programs---there is the "expected family contribution."  

So when you are a parent of a college age student you CANNOT, absolutely CANNOT walk away and lose $150,000 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!    Which means you lose your credit.   You are NOT eligible for Medicaid and you CANNOT get approved for a loan to pay for some medical treatment you may need, you are NOT old enough for mediCARE.  


So when you are 40, and you "move out" when your house doesn't sell, you walk away, lose $100,000 (that was probably the equity with which you qualify for pay for the government's required "expected family contribution" but now you can't get approved for a loan and any tuition assistance does not cover all the tuition.  OK, child can get a job.   Child CANNOT be an RN without college!!!!!   One CANNOT be a teacher without college, an engineer, a CPA etc.   OK, delay going to college, get one of those dishwasher or other minimum wage jobs, be a burger flipper, etc.  With that pay the young person barely has money to pay for rent, utilities, healthcare (you know it's mandated by the government) food, and clothes so just how many years will it take to pay for 4 years of college?  


But you prefer that people shut up, never complain, throw away $100,000, and lose their ability to pay the expected family contribution to their children's education, lose their ability to take out a loan for necessarily medical treatment over and above what some obamacare plan covers.


It's nice to be living on the dole and not have children to support.

You mean you owned a house and instead of complaining you just took all the furniture out, moved an apartment, left your house, never sold it, just let the bank take it, you lost $100,000+, and lost all ability to ever apply for a loan to pay for medicare care or the mandated expected family contribution for your children's tuition?
