Tonko is a safe bet in this election.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Not for the thousands of unborn children who will die because he and his extremist liberal colleagues support unlimited access to abortion.

Typical ignorant response from a pro-choicer.  You must write the manure .. I mean material that Paul Tonko uses.

Who exactly does Paul Tonko represent?  New York's 21st Congressional District or

NYC and Long Island ?  Congressional earmark 2010     $3,200,000 for New York Structural Biology Center: Synchrotron Beamline Experimental Station in NYC and Brookhaven (LI)  Requested by Paul Tonko (D-NY)

Washington State and Connecticut?   Congressional earmark 2010        $2,400,000 Cerus Corporation/University of Washington/Puget Sound Blood Center (McDermott) Yale University School of Medicine: Blood Safety and Decontamination Technology   Requested by Paul Tonko (D-NY)

Silicon Valley in CA?    Congressional earmark 2010    2010     $1,600,000   Flextech Alliance: Printed and Conformal Electronics for Military Applications   (San Jose, CA)

Still asking why the sugar people donated so much to Tonko's campaign? --- they are from Midwest .. NOT from the 21st District.

Wow, what about the HUGE WASTE of taxpayer money for STUPID and TOTALLY UNNCESSARY FANCY light poles on Erie Blvd.   We cannot waste money like this on the city/co/plex's legacy!

What about the HUGE WASTE of taxpayer money lavishly building/remodeling downtown buildings for people/companies that are so filthy rich they could pay the collective property & school tax bill of every property owner in the state of NY and they would STILL be FILTHY RICH.  We cannot waste money like this on the city/co/plex's legacy!

Oh, commenting on how there is the same waste in Schenectady, by the same political party, the waste by the leading party is exclusively a DV topic?   Ah, so mustn't ever say anything that comments about the waste in the city of Schenectady anymore.

But there is a hypocrisy by DV anyway because he has supported Tonko (and his beloved Savage), but this is about the party wasting taxpayer money, unless it's illegal to post that one cannot make such an analogy.   Downtown is like a bridge to nowhere, think about it.  The spending of tax money on downtown clearly is not helping the city go anywhere other than deeper in the hole.

!

The previous lighting that was replaced was state of the art, and was the first of it's kind in the world.

It made the Boulevard one of the most brightly lit places anywhere.

Now it is dimbulb city.

Bright lighting deters crime.

Dimwits only know how to pay millions to their friends for dimbulbs.

Almost hurt myself laughing at the Tonko tv ad.  The one where he claims to listen to people.  I'd like to hear him tell that "joke" to the ladies, who supported him for a quarter of a century, that he turned his back on and walked away from when they wanted to talk about to him about some issues that they disagreed with him on.

Or remember back to that first summer after he was elected to Congress and he wasn't going to schedule any meetings with constituents about the ACA because - he had already made up his mind and no one was going to change it  (the quote was printed in the local press at the time).

Yes! Tonko was committed to passing Health Care Reform for All Americans, and thankfully he stuck
to his guns on that issue.  That's enough to get my vote, and the votes of many Americans.
