SCHENECTADY-- Schenectady Police are investigating a deadly overnight shooting.

Police were called just after 11:30 p.m. Monday to a report of shots fired near Catherine Street.

When officers arrived, they found a black male lying in the street with gunshot wounds to the torso.

He was taken to Ellis Hospital where he later died from his wounds.

The victim's identity is not being released at this time.

Police say there is no information on a suspect at this time.

I guess it didn't help him being near the ambulance  

yup...something bad would just have to happen to end the "summer in the city"
