A letter in today's paper about couple who incurred a whopping 23.4% increase in Schenectady school taxes and YES, the existences of the STAR exemption has been confirmed (on Schdy school district website for their particular address)
YES their school tax bill had indeed INCREASED by a WHOPPING $559.70 on a house assessed for $130,000.
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
