Recently, there has been a renewed call to amend the US Constitution in regards to the term(s) of office of the US President.  Some calling to end the 2 term limit.  Others calling for a single 6 year term of office for any person holding the office.  This debate is not new.  But it has regained some traction with several lawmakers ready to submit actual proposed constitutional amendments.  What are your thoughts on this issue?

I don't think it matters but in my opinion the shorter the terms the better, maybe even limit it to a 3 year one term max. Make it shorter for members of the houses. Career politicians and dynasties are dangerous as we seen.

Before the 2000 election, there were polls that showed Bill Clinton would have won a 3rd term against
any candidate, democrat or republican.

6 years for all. President, House and Senate. One term and done.

I would be ok with one 6 year term for President and 1 or 2, 6 year terms for Congress.

One potential problem with 1 - 6 year term for a president.  The president immediately becomes a "lame duck."

Personally, I don't want "lifers" sitting in Congress or the State Legislatures.  No more than three  2 year terms for a member of the House and go to a parliamentary style election -- with multiple member districts with seats apportioned by the percentage of votes that the party received in the district voting.
One 6 year term for a member of the Senate.  NO PENSION.  Just enough allowance to have 2 staff members -- 1 in the district and 1 in D.C.  No vehicles provided.  No subsidized meals in the House and Senate cafeterias.  No extra $$ for sitting on a committee.

OT, but I'd like to see the City go back to the Ward system as well.

Originally, the wealthy and educated were expected to serve a term or two as a congressman or
a senator.  In the founding fathers day, being in congress was looked on as 'giving back' to your
country, often by successful businessmen or educators who've retired from work and would serve
their country in their retirement years.

The ward system would be great in the city and in the towns.  Also, I think they should eliminate the County Legislature and replace it with a Board of Supervisors with our Town Supervisors representing us at the county level,
