While not having a home, you are throwing money away at a landlord, if you ever have a large medical bill, you won't have oney to pay for it.

I can fully understand not having a boat, and TV's and things like that.   But you are paying rent and rent most likely  exceed your SS at some point.   Small food budget, must be a lonely life without a spouse.

Hope you figure out what you are going to do to pay any hospital bills beyond Medicare on your SS alone.  Heck, even a $40,000 doctor charge.  You can do stuff to be healthy, but you can still have a heart attack.   A heart bypass for the doctor charge can easily be $50,000, so hope you have the $10,000+ in cash saved beyond what medicare pays.

Well as far as a home, that's how YOU feel. I stated how I feel about those types of things. I don't mind paying rent at all. Given my age not owning a home is a far better option. No worries about maintenance, taxes etc. My time is more valuable to me than those things.

I had a spouse. I'm happier without one. Girlfriends are a much better option for me. Lonely? Not this cowboy.

My goal for the rest of my life is to leave this world with as few possessions as possible.

I wondered when you'd play the healthcare card. And my reply will probably dismay and confound some here, but I'm a Veteran and I use the VA Healthcare system. I do also have Medicare, the VA is my primary for health. If you're not aware, copay is based on income. Low income = low copay. Socialized Medicine at it's very best. So that doesn't worry me. Why live worrying about everything. I choose not to.

Anyway, this thread is not about how I choose to live, so I'm pretty much done responding here. If you want to talk more about it I guess we could do it through that private message (although in today's world nothing is truly private) or meet for coffee somewhere.

Have a nice day.

Ah, on the taxpayer dole.

And with the news about the VA health care, but that doesn't mean the worst happens at every facility.   Wait until the government denies you some procedure, and then you turn to Medicare and wind up with $10,000 out of pocket.

But if you have almost the taxpayer funded care, why bother paying the premium for medicare.

I and most people prefer to choose our doctors and our hospitals.   But if you are happy with your medical care being subject to a government dictatorship, that's fine.

Just hope that with taxes rising which causes your landlord to raise the rent that you'll have money for food in your SS.   But then, I guess you can always go into the welfare housing with the bedbugs

I didn't design the system I merely am taking advantage of what's presented to me, I keep Medicare as a fallback should the VA not cover something. I have no problem taking the healthcare offered to me, and I thank you very much for helping to see that it's maintained. I hope you live a very long and prosperous life and continue to contribute to my healthcare. Due to genetics and such I'm pretty sure you'll only have to contribute to my healthcare for about another 15 years or so. Oh, and guess what, I have to thank you for the free gravesite, provided by the VA, that I'll receive upon my death.

Now if all this annoys you so much why not do something about it instead of spending all your time complaining about your situation. Talk is cheap and actions speak volumes. But I guess complaining is how YOU choose to live.

Anyhow, live long and prosper, my Socialized Healthcare depends on it.

No I'm embarrassed by engaging in a discussion with you. Early on I thought you were a competent involved
poster. Little by little I realized I was sadly mistaken. Then I saw how you have
little real knowledge and attack others for not doing what you demand, when you
are guilty of the same. No, I'm embarrassed that I thought you were capable
of real discussions, providing facts and not pretending you are an expert on
everything.  You really are so much less knowledgable than I thought, so I'm
embarrassed, yes, because of a bad judge of character.

What's the matter MC1, can't take the heat?
Don't like that you're called out for your lies?
Don't like that I've shown you can't prove your claims?
What's wrong....why continue to answer questions?
Yes, I'm embarrassed for being a bad judge of character.

You want to rant on me and call names and throw out bull$hit camouflage,
then go right ahead...I just don't have time to waste on you anymore.
FACT is you made false claims and have danced in every direction you can
with snow jobs to try and support the lies...but you can't, and won't, so
you are a tremendous waste of time!

Have fun. Bash away. Just because you assume, does not make it fact.
Try posting facts going forward instead of your lies and urban legend!

I provide tons of evidence of what I say.   (DV NEVER produces one teen weeny shred of evidence).   I provided EVIDENCE that Civitellos does NOT get ANY tax exemptions.  It is a FACT that there are many properties available to them to expand IN the city but I said (suggested) that ANYONE who might HOPE to get some plex dollars would never criticize Metroplex.   We have proof that they said they wanted to expand.

OK, today we don't if that's still their plan.  But YOU claimed some people that know some people that know them, etc.   But you won't state who these alleged people are, so that sounds like the "friend of a friend said..." which is the typical of an urban legend.

Here's an example of irresponsible urban legend reporting BOZO!

NASCAR's Tony Stewart was arrested in Canandaigua tonight.

FALSE!

That is the word that was going around AT Canandaigua in the stands.   My husband's brother-in-law was there.

Oh, who are they....names????  I mean you want me to provide names
so why don't you practice what you preach, HYPOCRITE!
At least my post said it was word of mouth and we should wait to see if true!
You just make false claims and try to defend your idiocy...keep doing your

Have you no shame?
Now you are attacking a veteran, who has served our country, as being "on the taxpayer dole."  The FACT is that our country made a pact with our fighting men and women to take care of them in exchange for their laying their lives on the line to defend our freedoms and national interests.
Oh -- and how does someone's status as a veteran (or whether they rent or own their home) have anything to do with the topic of the thread?

And tell us Joe, can you tell us why Civitello's should pay the taxes of their competition Villa Italia who are millionaires?

And even more,  tell us Joe, do you think it's proper for Civitello's to pay for a new building for Marcella's AND pay the property taxes on his new building, AND THEN PAY HIS DELINQUENT TAXES?????

Hey.....there are more 'existing businesses' in Schenectady County than the new METROPLEX/GILLEN ones!!! I don't hear these businesses ripping the METROPLEX/GILLEN and the democratic controlling powers that be a new a$$hole. Where is the rage from these existing businesses? Perhaps they are just ok with it...yes?....no???

I'm done fighting the battle for these existing businesses who don't speak up PUBLICLY!!! When was the last time they were ALL at a city council meeting/county leg meeting with pitchforks in hand? When was the last time they asked for air time on 1300 talk radio?

seems kinda odd to say the least.

Tom Yuerly or maybe it's Yeurly.  I don't know him that well.    Too bad we didn't save the voice mail message, I'd hold the camera to the phone and tape it.

But your word of mouth, you must have heard it from someone, ask who they heard it from and who that one heard it from.  I mean you COULD do that.  Not asking that you do.  We'll just see what happens if and when they sell.

And you served the country how?   Someone who over and over claims to have us blocked, but then responds when he wants to.  A 52 yr old man who has not left the nest yet.  Almost sounds like failure to launch.   What NORMAL man lives with two mommy figures at 52?   How did your parents launch you but you only wound up with two substitute mommies, dating back to the early 1990's at least.  You'd be surprised of who or how I know your family or maybe it's about them.

I couldn't care less who you are.  Whoever you are - you are a cowardly, ignorant piece of sh*t.

YOU are the one who constantly makes false accusations and personal attacks.  You may THINK you know me and my family -- but you don't.

YOU are the one with some chip on your shoulder that causes you to lash out at anyone who doesn't share your views or agree with you.

YOU are the one who attacked a veteran and then you try to twist attention away from yourself.

Ya wanna serve the county mc1.........go to ALL of the existing businesses in Schenectady County and have them ALL sign a petition to abolish the METROPLEX/GILLEN. Then ask them if they will place political signs on their property in favor of the opposing party.

I have to tell you that we have talked to a few (not many) existing businesses, who pay full taxes while their METROPLEX/GILLEN competitor doesn't, and try to educate them of the unlevel playing field..............THEY DON'T CARE!!! TRUTH!!
