Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
It was paved. They also made a huge ditch to retain some of that water that used to ice up the street. The design is questionable as the drains were higher than the ditch and they angled the pavement away from the ditch. Should be interesting to see how it works.
