Interesting our resident cheerleader for all the theft from homeowners for tax handouts to the rich downtown isn't posting on here about this renaissance project.

Interesting editorial in the gazette today, it's about the building downtown, lower State St that had the fire a while back.

This owner, DeFalco, wants to do something with his building, put in a gym, health food café, and office space and the editorial goes on with "Schenectady officials......should go slowly in granting the owner approvals......working with him to find ways to pay for it."

Yep, here we go, city dems will be taking MORE MONEY FROM THE TAXPAYERS for this project.

But you have to keep on reading:

Quoted Text
But about $135,000 in back taxes is owned on the property by DeFalco's company, which he conveniently placed into bankruptcy just as the city was  ready to foreclose on it and reclaim it for development.  The bankruptcy protections could delay renovations for months....

Oh yeah, here we go, another "hotel Foster" like handout from the taxpayers to a tax delinquent.  (Intelligent and knowledgeable people will remember slumlord Craig Alsdorf (aka CGA Properties, aka Providian Arms) and how he bought it, never turned the heat on, pipes burst, caused a million dollars in damage, he was a persistent tax delinquent on ALL the properties (many residential) in the city, and DV's beloved city dem leaders STOLE FROM THE HOMEONWERS to pay Alsdof a WHOIPPING QUARTER OF A MILLION DOLLARS for the Hotel Foster bldg. - mind you, he only paid $125,000 to purchase it so the city dems via metroplex chose to pay him double what he bought the building for PLUS the building was like $30,000 delinquent in taxes so our "sales tax dollars" were used to pay the city the $30,000 in delinquent taxes for this building alone.   And DV's beloved city/county/plex dems NEVER NVER NEVER NEVER NEVER withheld one penny NOT ONE PENNY from Alsdorf to pay off all the delinquent taxes he owed on many residential properties in the city!!!!)

Looks like the city dem leadership may end up pulling another fast one by STEALING FROM THE TAXPYAERS to help out a tax delinquent.   Excuse me, but this building had a fire.  What about insurance on the building to fix it up, WHY WHY WHY must it be the taxpayer's who have to fix it!!!!!!!!!!

Homeowners struggle while the city dems steal their money (via higher taxes) to give the money out to millionaire political cronies and to tax delinquents.   But "the mayor and his dem are doing a wonderful job in the city" and "the city is in a renaissance."  ROFL

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
