In some people's minds Sagen, Einstein and Tyson are gods.

Personally, I prefer to follow the wisdom of a few thousand years of Judeo-Christian Tradition.

Are you going to move into the city of Schenectady in your afterlife?   Gee, I guess the truth is hurting or embarrassing you, you are avoiding any comment on the dem created ghost town, the EVIDENCE of the ghost town from the owners who have fled their homes before they sold, the boarded up homes, and most importantly yet ANOTHER month where the home sales in the city have fallen -- fallen by 20% -- and sale prices are falling, it's the only city around with typical sale prices under $100,000.   Evidence is quite embarrassing to you, so much so you it has rendered you speechless

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.
Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and
speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

Judaism
Many faiths have definitive teachings about the afterlife. But the Torah,  is surprisingly
silent. Nowhere does it discuss the afterlife in detail.

Over the centuries a few possible descriptions of the afterlife have been incorporated into
Jewish thought. However there is no definitively Jewish explanation for what happens after
we die.

I believe whatever the scientists you quoted believe.

Even in this matter of his opinion, Cicero doesn't have one.

Who am I to hold a different opinion than scientists?  They have all the FACTS of life.  I just conform to their opinions.  Only a flat earth believer would disagree with a scientific opinion.  Whatever the consensus opinion of science is, is my opinion.

So wishy washy that he can't even have a simple opinion.
If only you did "just conform to their opinions" you would actually have an answer.  As it is, you
only OPPOSE, you never AGREE.

Cissy, your view of the afterlife is not a scientific question... although science may help you
make up your mind about it.  For most people, it's a leap of FAITH... not Science.

Funny that the question is such a problem for you.

The question is not a problem.  There is no scientific proof of afterlife, so I have faith that science knows the answer.

Plus, I think 97% of scientist don't believe the Afterlife exists.  I try to conform my opinions around scientific consensus.

Whatever you do, don't criticize the fraud called democracy, the government, AND ESPECIALLY MILITARY SERVICE.  That is the holy trinity of the state and all 3 must be worshiped.  If you do not worship all 3, you will be called a hater, a traitor, and committing an act of treason.

soooo true.

LOVE the 'holy trinity' reference!!!

they should take GOD out of 'god'...county....core (in whatever order)................yes?

Here is my opinion.

Death does not exist. Your body may stop functioning, but your life force lives on forever.

In our current local reality, energy/mass/matter can never be created or destroyed, only transformed.

The force of life exists outside the human field of perception.

All life is connected.

You can plant a seed in sterile potting soil and give it distilled water, yet it will still flourish with life.

Over the centuries a few possible descriptions of the afterlife have been incorporated into
Jewish thought. However there is no definitively Jewish explanation for what happens after
we die.

There were Jewish rabbis/teachers in the 1st Century A.D. (and even just a little bit earlier) who were developing theology regarding after life -- up to and including the concept of the resurrection of the body.  That the Torah is silent on the subject is not unusual since it was a part of oral (and eventually written tradition) for several centuries before the 1st Century A.D.
With the coming of Christ and the beginning the Christian Church, it can definitely be argued that the Hebrew Scriptures were interpreted through the prism of the Christian Scriptures and the REAL LIFE experience of Jesus Christ rising from the dead and being witnessed physically present and alive to a few hundred disciples during the period from His Resurrection to his Ascension into Heaven.
Therefore there is NO DOUBT that there is a fairly definitive Judeo-Christian explanation for what happens after we die.
