what is with these drivers that won't slow down for pedestrians crossing to and from their cars at the Mall...

to the older male who was driving a grey sedan.....going about 35 mph......who did not slow down but as he passed by

said"  i wouldn't have hit you"   about 6 feet from me and in the middle of the crosswalk....

what is the hurry....

it is said that NEW YORK drivers are the worst.....and they are.....inconsiderate and nasty......will go as fast as they can to pass you

but end up at the same stop red light ,.... never put on the turn signal .....or leave it on forever....cut out in front at the last minute

and do not know what "YIELD" means.....

New York drivers are the rudest and how did they get their license???.......tester was in a hurry also.....lol

Each individual driver is responsible for his or her behavior NOT the police chief.  Since the police chief does not have the time or ability to personally ride with EVERY driver to monitor and correct their driving habits, I would suggest that another more reasonable solution is in order.

I have driven out West and never had any problems with the police or other drivers.

We have many fine police chiefs in this state as well as fine police officers.  It is too easy for nayboobs to sit on their keesters and lob criticisms every which way.  The nayboobs are on a "fishing expedition" to find something or someone to criticize - I suggest they (nayboobs) need to get a life.
Ultimately, the responsibility to drive properly lies with the driver.

look...

to criticize the police for the way people drive...it's plain wrong.....how do they teach these people....how many get their licenses on the spot......

how many pay attention to the laws...how many drink and drive....how many are just plain in a "rage" when they drive....

those are the questions to be answered and fixed......maybe it should start at the way people learn to drive and the shortcuts they take to carelessness

to the point of recklessness....

it's getting so I don't want to drive any more....if I go 40...they go 50....if I go 50 ...they go 60....and if I go 60...well that's just plain crzzyiness...

no turn signals....pulling out without common sense.....speeding in parking losts....pulling in and out of driveways without looking....

drive defensively???.....seat belts of a ticket?????????......drive sober??????????.....these are only the few of what is wrong in New York...

there is no common sense ...and forget Y I E L D....S T O P .....red lights.....

that's all to that...

Police are doing the best they can....otherwise...do you want them for a taxi service???....

they do their job...now let the judges and arresting officers control more for DWI's....especially when the offender has more than three or four...

don't worry self driving google cars are coming to save us from ourselves...because apparently the indoctrination that starts
in the public schools, of how we are incapable of using our brains, making decisions are just not allowed, because the government
will do that for us......

we must keep handing over our autonomy because we are all just that stupid...

The legitimation of conceptual drift is in effect identical to the fallacy of agency.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Self driving cars will not be in use anytime soon.  The insurance industry is not crazy about them and won't write insurance policies to cover them.

I know people who work in the insurance industry - some at very high levels - and everyone of them said that their companies will NOT even think about issuing insurance for these so-called "self driving" cars.  There is also an issue about the way motor vehicle laws are written in many states which would, unless the laws were amended, make it illegal for "self driving" cars to be on the roads.

....and remember the laws 'weren't made by the poor insurance companies' (who lobby like
rabid dogs) they were made by the big bad government, albeit their whore on the side....

national health insurance is run like this now....the IRS being the big gun.....
