And Schenectady city is saving $249,000 per year but no jobs were cut?  Where is the savings coming from then?

the $$ tossed like a bone to the dogs to put more power in the government's hands....

We'll save even more money when they merge all the municipalities into a single City-County of Schenectady.

And please DV, tell us how much it will cost extra when we who have septic for example are forced to pay for the city's sewers and repairs, etc.   Or how about when we are FORCED to be connected to sewers that might be built.

Typically in the city, the annual sewer fee is $300 to $400.  We have our septic pumped out for just $150 every three years.   But tell us DV. when we are paying $300 to $400 a year for a sewer fee that will be $900 to $1,200 over three years' time.   But YOU think it will save us money         Not to mention the start up costs we will have to bear to be forcibly hooked up to a sewer.

How about the people who have wells for their water?   I guess you think the consolidated county should take watermains throughout the county and forcibly tax people to hook them up to public water.   Oh yeah, that will save the homeonwers's money, right?

And schools, I have already stated that EACH AND EVERY child in the whole county will be FORCED to be bused.  Because it is against the law for schools to be segregated, so the children who might walk to a school in their Nisky neighborhood will be FORCBILY BUSED to someplace else within the county.   And that will cost tons of money, purchase of more buses, the additional costs for insurance, gas, maintenance, etc.

Now, I have provided you the math to prove consolidation will cost homeowners more.   Now let's see you show us how costs will be lower.   Come on, DV, provide the salary for each of the superintendents in the existing school districts.  Add that up and provide us a total that will be saved when all but one is eliminated.   Then provide of us the cost of purchases of school buses alone---be sure to provide a link to support your claim of the cost of buses.  Then multiply that by maybe 50, assuming 50 buses have to be added to bus kids all over the county.   Then tell us how much the insurance is for buses.   And how about since there will be more buses, how many more mechanics have to be hried---what is their salary plus the cost of lavish benefits and bloated pensions.   And instead of a bus traveling maybe 5 miles from one end of the city to another, tell us how much the gas will be when buses have to travel 10 or more miles in one traip all over the county.

Can you provide the financial analysis for us, DV?????     Can you?      Let's see your math and provide the websites and documentation to support your claim that costs will be lower.

Of course, you won't provide the math, because you just like to see yourself post stupid nonsense babble.

Still waiting for you to provide proof that county taxes are lower than 50 years ago.   Why can't you provide evidence of your statement of that????/     And where is your evidence that city taxes were higher prior to Brian Stratton as mayor?????    ]

You are almost a funnier comedian than George Carlin!

Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent.

speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
