racism is 'wrong'....however, it's NOT up to the government to tell you what to think.....that would be Minority Report....

if you can't think what you want as a sovereign human being because the government/religion is in your head then you are not free

I don't agree with the schmucks remarks but I am not a friend of his.

is the NBA a club that can vote him out?
are the Clippers his business that he owns?

workers are NOT slaves and certainly NBA players white/black CAN leave at any time......they are NOT pets/slaves.....

the new government laws of
hate crimes
terrorism and other mind defining 'crimes' are beginning to shape up like Animal Farm/1984 and other dystopias....I find it
very amusing that we've even come this far.

being ostracized for not 'fitting in' is what he will get.......and maybe he'll stop chasing gold digger wives.....because THAT
is what the PRIVATE conversation was about........

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

This is of course not racist at all.  If Larry Bird of the Pacers suggested starting an all white league, it would be perfectly ok.  Suggesting segregating blacks from all other races is not a bigoted statement and not one non-black player is asking to ban Larry Johnson from basketball.

And his statement was not an illegally recorded private conversation, he proudly tweeted it for the world to read.

C'mon box, even you must see the hypocrisy.

Knicks’ Larry Johnson calls for all-black basketball league

New York Knicks executive Larry Johnson has a different take on the racial fire that’s recently ignited over Clippers owner Donald Sterling, looking at the broader picture to make his main point: It’s high time blacks started their own league, he said.

In a tweet, the former star player wrote: “Black people your Focusing on the wrong thing. We should be focusing on having our own, Own team own League! To For Self!!”

It’s not the first time that Mr. Johnson drew critical attention to the fact that the NBA is headed primarily by white executives and played mostly by black athletes, the New York Post reported. In 1999, he said during the NBA Finals between the Knicks and Spurs that, “We’ve got a lot of rebellious slaves on this [Knicks] team.”

It appears that the Clippers are owned by a trust, including Sterlings family members.  Can a trust be racist?

Starz is leading the next renaissance of TV. The Spartacus Saga is probably one of the best written and produced series in the last 20 years.

Then there is Da Vinci's Demons and Black Sails.

If you go by Boxy's logic then 'yes'. It runs along the same lines as if you're a Republican you are racist.

Republicans, like Democrats can be bigots.  Racism comes in all races creeds and colors.
The Republicans just seem to be the most proud of their racism!

people are who they are: racists/haters/lovers/lazy/productive etc etc etc...... just because he thinks something and says it
in a private conversation doesn't mean he wasn't 'fair'.....I think he's a creepy a$$hole and his 'wives'/'girlfriends' are creepy too...

everyone, including the players got paid.....he wasn't being racist, if he was they wouldn't have gotten paid, they would have
been slaves and there would be no contracts of work for $$, just ownership papers.....and isn't that what union contracts
are, agreed work for agreed compensation?

the NBA or any other sport league isn't a church of conscience........

How could it happen? In the case of the Clippers, a divorce filing by either Sterling or his wife, Rochelle, could stall the NBA's move to force a sale, putting the team under the jurisdiction of a California family court as the Sterlings divide their community property. That process could be complicated as the team is owned by a family trust, which includes Sterling's wife.

Um... Maybe because it's accurate?

Uncle Tom is the title character of Harriet Beecher Stowe's
1852 novel, Uncle Tom's Cabin.
The phrase "Uncle Tom" has also become an epithet for a person who is slavish
and excessively subservient to perceived authority figures, particularly a black
person who behaves in a subservient manner to white people; or any person
perceived to be a participant in the oppression of their own group.

Lengthy exploration of the relationship between the invention of civil society and the
discourse of indeterminacy testifies to his considerable perspicuity.
