The recent news that a buyer has apparently been found for the historic Foster Building on State Street is further proof that patience, combined with
investment, is paying off in downtown Schenectady.

Once restored and occupied after nearly 20 years of vacancy, the 107-year-old former hotel on the National Register of Historic Places will add a touch of
class and history to the streetscape as people walk up the hill from the area around Proctors toward Veterans Park, St. Joseph's church and the county
buildings.

Metroplex has invested thousands in repairs and cleanup to keep the place from falling down, wisely preserving the building rather than letting it become a bulldozer's latest victim.

To justify taxpayers' investment, the new owners should be held to strict conditions, including preserving the building's most prominent feature — the
intricate white terra cotta facade and whatever elements of the original Hotel Foster that crews were able to preserve inside.

Once occupied and back on the tax rolls, the Foster Building will mark another success in downtown's revitalization efforts.

This is that, yes, historic building.  


This is the building that the slumlords Alsdorf and Todd owned big time taxes on this building.

DVOR's beloved dems ROBBED the taxpayers and paid this pair of deadbeats a WHOPPING QUARTE OF A MILLION DOLLARS to buy the building from them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On top of rewarding the deadbeats with a quarter of a million, DVOR's beloved dems exempted the deadbeats from paying the back taxes on the building.

In other word, DVOR's beloved dems that he cheers for and claims they are doing a wonderful job, the dems NEVER withheld the back taxes from that payment to the deadbeats.

In fact, this pair of deadbeats owned back taxes on many rental properties they owned.   When the dems paid them the quarter a million to the deadbeats, the dems not only did NOT withhold the amount owned in back taxes on the Foster building, but the dems also did NOT withhold the amount owned in back taxes on all the other buildings they owned.


The ACTUAL, UNAVOIDABLE, INCONTROVERTIBLE TRUTH about the dems in the city/county/plex is that they are exempting their rich cronies downtown from paying taxes thus allowing all these downtown rich be deadbeats in taxes.  The dems have absolved the real deadbeats such as Alsdorf and Todd and rewarded them with a lavish payment in exchange for not paying taxes.

And the dems have forced the financially struggling homeonwers to pay these bills.   And when the long time good homeowners can't pay downtown's taxes, the city takes their homes and DVOR calls these long time owner-occupant financially struggling homeowners, DVOR calls them deadbeats.
