So regardless what party is selected to power, all legislation is appropriate and reflect the will of the governed.  And the non enforcement of legislation like Obamacare and Immigration is what?

Cissy is an argument looking for a place to happen!

The electoral College is just another way the Dems and Reps work together to keep their strangle hold on power, I don't see it going away any time soon as those in power have no reason to get rid of it, as it helps them stay in power.

The Electoral College predates the two-party system. It was created by the authors of the Constitution in 1787 to ensure that a few heavily populated states or one region of the country would not be able to unduly sway the decision of who would be elected president.  It forces national candidates to appeal to a broader cross-section of American voters.  Eliminating the Electoral College would be a horrendous mistake.

I agree that the EC takes away the power of big states, and it gives it to little states.  Vermont is way
overrepresented in elections, while large states are underrepresented.

Also on the subject of small population states:
The 625,000 citizens of Vermont have 1/50th of the Senate.  The 8,350,000 citizens of New
York have 1/50th of the Senate.

The DEMS (Andrew Cuomo) just joined a program that will not eliminate the Electoral College, but
it does make it irrelevant.

Under the National Popular Vote Compact, which Gov. Cuomo signed off on Tuesday, the
state has agreed to award its electoral college votes to whichever presidential candidate
wins the national popular vote.
The compact only takes effect once enough states have signed on to give it the required
270 electoral college votes. With New York’s participation, the movement has 165 votes.
