Scare Americans??? Are you "SCARED" CICERO?  I know I'm not.

I'm not scared...I'm actually laughing....Watch the hysteria in the news...They are sure painting Putin as a villain for pulling a page out of the U.S. foreign policy playbook - pre-emptive military actions to protect the innocent.

Absolutely....someone needs to tell those Ukrainians to wake up...this is an American conspiracy
to start a war for an economic boost of the American economy.  And while they are at it, tell those
damn Euro countries to back off, this is for our benefit, not theirs!

Yes..Yes...This was a Ukrainian grassroots revolution, kinda like the Egypt and Libya revolutions...No influence from state government...Nevermind what Victoria Nuland said.  The USG is involved to "help the people".

Quoted Text
Nuland, who in December went to Independence Square in Kiev in a sign of support for the demonstrators, adds that she has also been told that the UN chief, Ban Ki-moon, is about to appoint a former Dutch ambassador to Kiev, Robert Serry, as his representative to Ukraine.

“That would be great I think to help glue this thing and have the UN glue it and you know, f*** the EU,“ she says, in an apparent reference to differences over their policies.

“We’ve got to do something to make it stick together, because you can be pretty sure that if it does start to gain altitude the Russians will be working behind the scenes to try to torpedo it,“ Pyatt replies.

How should the US respond to Russia's actions in Ukraine?

Military action     9%
Diplomatic pressure     39%
Economic sanctions     34%
All of the above     16%

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

It would be interesting to see how Americans would answer that question if it read:  "How should the world react to America's actions in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Yemen, Iran, Syria, etc..."

Thank you for supporting my claim of your alarmist attitude...guilty before everything is understood...guilty regardless...
It's the friggin government, devious bastards. Yes, rely on one idiot politician's ignorance as your support for this obvious
attempt to inflate the Military and frighten the American public.  Sounds like you and a few select are the only frightened ones.
Last I heard, they want to reduce the military spending...hmmmmm...obviously no one told Chuck about your take on it all!!!
Maybe you should call him and explain the reality and purpose of the whole thing...inform him...educate him!!!!

Why make it about something else...why not make it what it is and ask the rest of the world "HOW SHOULD AMERICA REACT"
to what's happening in Ukraine and see what they say! To me that would be the more interesting compass.

I guess my point was, American govt does the same thing as Russia is doing.  I would be curious to see if Americans can self reflect without their nationalist blinders on by giving their perspective from a non American point of view.

I agree.  "OTHER" might be preferable for a lot of people.

Cissy... America was all for GWB's Afghanistan invasion, when the purpose of the invasion
was to kill or capture Osama BinLaden.
Had G Worst Bush stuck to the mission, instead of 'nation building', he may have been successful
instead of being the Worst US President in modern times.

Did the USG kill Osama Bin Laden?  Are American troops in Afghanistan years later?

untrue....it was all fear based....psst...9/11 was ON US SOIL...not in Ukraine....however, I still thought going after some
migrant, disillusioned rich middle eastern hippy was STUPID. I don't call it a 'win' for Obama taking credit either.
