| Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies. |

Roads are still slick even on the main roads, going down Albany St was a nightmare with cars parked on both sides people running red lights. I almost hit one of Schenectady's finest when he pull a stupid stunt and flew right out in front of me, I slammed the breaks and started sliding right towards the side of the car, instead of continuing to move he stopped the car sideways in the middle of the road and just stared at me as I was coming towards him. I went fckn nuts and started screaming every profanity I know at him, I don't know what the hell he was thinking going through a red light like that. |

I wonder how much garbage is buried under all these mounds of snow.
The roads are absolutely awful. People have been snow blowing the streets so cars can get up and down them.
As much as I want the city to have snow emergencies and enforce them I still can't help to think that people should just stop being a$&holes and just not park in the street regardless of what the city does. |

Great leadership. Check out the plowing around Union Avenue and Parkwood Ave where the plows have had to swerve around parked cars. This could be easy revenue generation. Especially with college students. |

Got a good one for ya's.....AND IT'S TRUE!!!
A guy i work with lives on Dewitt st. He said the folks across the street have a long driveway, but keeps their cars parked on the street during a snow storm. So when the plow does thru, it pushes all the snow on my coworkers lawn/driveway.
so my coworker asked them 'why' they don't put their cars in their driveways when it snows. they said as long as the cars are inthe street....the less snow at the end of their driveway or on their property!!!!!!!
Great reasoning, huh? |

Wow - I knew our Mayor was a law enforcement expert and all...
But I never knew he was a genius until today.
I mean he figured out something that every surrounding municipality has not - that we SAVE money by not calling a snow emergency.
Thank god enough inept people in the city voted for him. I am beginning to see the light. |

Odd-even parking slows down snow plowing. Hmm. Here's how - if you plow to the curb one the even side, then you have to come back again to plow the other side to the curb, after the cars move. Whereas, if you have cars on both sides, you make one pass down the middle and call it done. McCheese is embarrassing. Where does he get the damn nerve to spew nonsense about things he knows NOTHING about, such as snowplowing, and just about everything else? BTW, does anyone ever even see him anywhere but downtown? I saw cars getting stuck late today, over by Central Park. He should be out and about, looking for problem areas. No, he just lets it go, and tells some foolish tale on tv. "Oh, we MEANT to do it this way! Everybody else doesn't know about snowplowing, but our high-priced out of town garbage guru and I are superior beings!" Fire the incompetent, out of town 'manager'. What's he good for? |
