Don't believe that's true. Been told by many folks who pass thru Schenectady to get to work that the roads there are plowed and sanded in the am when ours haven't been touched. That has never happened!!!!

we should just consolidate and 'make sure it gets done right'

i'd be the first one to complain..........but where exactly do you want them to put the snow?????

And then everyone wants the sidewalks cleared....where's that snow going?

I only say this because we're having a hard time with snow at our house.....no place to put it!!!!

You put the snow in your yard. The municipalities should follow up major storms with snow removal, they come through with equipment that looks like a giant snowblower, and a heavy dump truck to load the snow in. This has been going on all over America, for decades, so have such things as "no parking on priority streets after three inch snowfall until cleared" or "alternate side parking 11/1 through 4/15". You can find such signs all over the city, in fact. I can remember this being done, and it worked, so can Gary McCarthy, if these people cannot figure out what to do they should step down. I'm so sick of this.

Plenty of room for snow. First of all by not reacting quick enough during the storms too much snow accumulated thus the plows could not push it back far enough. Now we are stuck with narrow streets. No way a plow can push back these banks. Better hope for a fast thaw!!!!

Yes. Back in the day, Schenectady had plows out at the beginning of the storm, and throughout. Now they try to save money by waiting and doing it all at once, in some instances. That's no good, because people get stuck in the snow, and because they end up with that giant wall of snow that avalanches onto the sidewalks. I wouldn't mind the misguided effort to save money so much except that they are not saving us money, they are merely not giving us our money's worth.

no ice at godlewski's house no plows out on the roads

drove thru the city the other day.....not by choice......and saw so many people walking in these narrow streets...

and sidewalks not shoveled......seems no one cares to do their part...

BUT....trying to collect outstanding tickets that are 13 years old.....now that blows my mind....and the person

getting harassed is  the owner of the vehicle AND DID NOT DRIVE THE VEHICLE IN QUESTION...and no one needs to rant about

the law...THAT VEHICLE HAS BEEN OFF THE ROAD FOR 11 YEARS.

....someone dropped the ball and now money is needed for the candy machine...

SHOVEL THE WALKS......WHERE IS CODE ENFORCEMENT???.....THAT'S WHAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED TODAY...

NOT SOMETHING THAT HAPPENED YEARS AGO....LOTS OF $$$$$ OUT THERE...TURN THAT OVER TO COLLECTION.

Maybe you should pay your bills before you criticize others.
