Salvation Army bell ringer hit for saying 'Happy Holidays' instead of 'Merry Christmas'

Apparently, a Phoenix woman is focusing too much on the messaging of Christmas versus the message of Christmas.

A Salvation Army bell ringer says she was hit by the unidentified Grinch because the suspect became upset when she was greeted with a "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas!"

ABC15.com reports volunteer Kristina Vindiola was hit while working outside a local Walmart.

Vindiola says at first she thought the woman was going to give her a donation, but instead she gave her a punch in the arm, "She came up to me and said, 'Do you believe in God?' And she says, ‘You're supposed to say Merry Christmas,' and that's when she hit me."

Vindiola went inside the store and told a store manager what happened. He then called police, but after viewing the store's surveillance video investigators were unable to find enough evidence to make an arrest.

Vindiola says she plans to take her own legal action against the woman she alleges attacked her.

Salvation Army representatives told ABC15 that the organization does not have a policy regarding whether its ringers should say "Merry Christmas" or Happy Holidays."

it IS funny that folks only think santa/jesus are white......my question is are they real?????

You have it backwards Bumbler.  The WAR ON CHRISTMAS is to keep the gullible buying and
gifting, no matter how much debt they carry.

Saying "happy holidays" has nothing to do with 'buying'.  It's about Right Wing Promotion.

The “war on Christmas” that Fox News pretends is going on every year is

a straight, white, conservative Christian.

And even though that’s a lie—an obvious lie—Fox News will happily feed them
an endless stream of blatantly lies and misleading stories to justify their completely
unjustifiable belief that they are entitled to be treated like they’re inherently better
and more important than everyone else.
