help the party ahead of the 2014 congressional elections, a year after big-dollar conservative
groups poured millions into unsuccessful campaigns against President Obama and Democratic
candidates, and the GOP failed to retake the White House or the Senate," the AP reports.

"Groups such as American Crossroads and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce no longer are willing
to risk major investments on hard-line conservatives who embarrassed GOP leaders last fall
and rattled the confidence of party donors. Many remain concerned after last month's
government shutdown highlighted Republican divisions... Outside spending on television ads
designed to benefit Republican Senate candidates is down almost 60% compared with two
years ago."

were recently subpoenaed by a special prosecutor,  the Wall Street Journal editorial page reports.

"Copies of two subpoenas we've seen demand 'all memoranda, email . . . correspondence, and
communications' both internally and between the subpoena target and some 29 conservative
groups... In other words, tell us who your donors are."

Said Boehner: "They're using our members and they're using the American people for their
own goals. This is ridiculous."

"Boehner's comments came after House Republicans huddled behind closed doors for more
than an hour to discuss the deal. Ryan made the same argument inside the meeting that
he's made publicly: This is a deficit reduction bill. Rep. Hal Rogers, the appropriations chairman,

Conservative radio host Glenn Beck went off on Republican leadership after the House passed
a budget compromise Thursday, calling House Speaker John Boehner "worthless" and Senate
Minority Leader Mitch McConnell a "liar," Politico reports.

Said Beck: "I think John Boehner is one of the prime examples of worthless, worthless Republicans.
All these people saying, 'Hey, the Republicans aren't as bad,' no. I think they actually might be
worse, because they claim to be something that they're not."

boehner is status quo....always has been...although I don't prescribe to the total view of the bought out teabag 'party'
(which it' not) there are a lot of things that just hold as truth....

and that is the superiority of the human...
the human freedom
the human thought
the human spirit
etc etc.....

remove the crazy religion and it all pretty much hits home, except for those who believe the slaves to the industrial revolution and
the management of the human value/survival/freedom is righteous coming from the liberal left, we're missing the mark as
a society.....

when ANY politician talks about 'jobs this/that' what they are basically saying is "we have more collars added to the chain gang
if you would like to put it on" "don't worry we'll make sure you get your fair share(we don't understand the meaning but
we're going to sell that to you) and not starve to death and make sure we prop you up at election time to get your vote."

Boehner has a boner for the status quo......always will...regardless of party.....

Rep. Jim Matheson, D-Utah, announced Tuesday he will retire after 2014. Matheson's retirement
continues the decline of  Blue Dog Democrats. There are just 15 Blue Dog Democrats in the House
now, down from 26 in the previous Congress and 54 in the Congress before that.
