Cops aren't forced to do dangerous work, they choose to do it and get paid.  You suggest citizens be forced to restrict their weapon options while a select group of citizens have access to more powerful weapons.  I do not suggest restricting weapons for government agents, but giving them the same access as the rest of the citizens.

The case for banning assault rifles and large capacity magazines stands and has nothing to do
with this or any other shooting.

I wonder how many people this guy would have shot if he had used a 2nd Amendment Rifle.  The
