the local land/business owners - but the town officials are tooooooo AFRAID to tell them to clean up their act and you see what happens when residents are held accountable, they cry to the press that government is unfair to them |

People have lost sight of the fact that taxes are supposed to benefit the community. I guess it is Stockholm Syndrome, that was a form of brainwashingpeople did to themselves, wasn't it?
This isn't the feudal system, and you don't owe tribute to the lord of the manor for allowing you to subsist on his land. I might be getting my eras mixed up, but that's what it is. |
