The church took 300 years to finally agree that Galileo was right on his science.   Most scientists of his
day agreed with Galileo, but the govt of it's time (much like the Right today) denied the science.

The flat earthers were always a minority of scientists.  Go to the ocean... watch a ship return to
shore.  You will see the top of the mast first then the rest will come into view from TOP TO BOTTOM.
CAUSE THE EARTH IS ROUND!  Un... even in primitive times, it isn't 'rocket science'.

The ignorant believed in sea monsters, whales swallowing people then puking them up (still alive)
and the flat earth.
Science knew better but kept their mouth shut or face the inquisition.

The 'inquisition is going on today with the Creationists vs Evolution.
The Right will continue to oppress science and promote religion.

theory is theory, whether it be religious or science.....

medicine is 'science', how about lining up for electric shock therapy or blood letting.....it can be theory for a LONG time
before realizing it was stupid.....

just because it's 'today' doesn't mean theories are proved/disproved any faster....

death is death both in science and religion...what happens after death is not proven by either and still remains a theory
life is life both in science and religion...the value of life is not proven by either and still remains a theory with
man made values placed upon both.....because THAT'S ALL WE KNOW....

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

So what if some people choose to believe in dragons?   Left wing nuts who support Obama, Pelosi and Tonko believe that taxing Americans to death, destroying the traditional marriage and families, and allowing the killing unborn babies in the womb is "progressive" and "enlightened" thinking.

You support the same actions by the local morons.

You support taxing the poor to give to the rich to build palaces.

You are sadly mistaken.  Your problem is you and nut jobs like the he/she monkey THINK you know what I believe, or , more correctly, make up what you think I believe.   You don't know me because you hide like cowards behind user names so you can carry on your terrorist-like negative campaign of personal attacks on people who disagree with you.  You folks are hell bent on tearing down and destroying our community.

I believe in lower taxes through effective, efficient government and encouraging robust economic development by creating a climate friendly to business and other investors.

Lower taxes through corporate welfare is not ever going to occur.

You have a serious mental block that prevents you from seeing the destruction from the taxes
that you idiots keep giving to the rich and call it robust economic development.

You keep saying you don't believe in tax and spend on the rich, then you again state that you do,
using other words.

Taking money from the people and handing out a hundred million to investors and corporations is
not robust economic development.

It's known in Detroit as the downward death spiral.

You have zero concern for making the town or the city attractive to home buyers.

Only for your corporate interests. You call the enraged taxpayers terrorists as you support taking
homes and businesses for the favored elite investors.

The rich don't need incentive to be richer, genius.

If not for the Metroplex, Proctor's and the IDA, Schenectady County would have a surplus and much lower taxes.

If not for Proctor's and Metroplex, Downtown Schenectady would be a ghost town.  They may not always be perfect but they HAVE had many success (despite your refusal to admit it) and they do play a vital role in the turn around of the county (whether you admit it or not).  You and your nayboob buddies are the ones with the serious mental _fill in the blank_ with your need to constantly whine and complain. Everything is negative and horrible in your world -- how sad -- get help for your condition.

I call you and your constantly, negative and nasty cowardly complainers terrorists because you use "word bombs" to repeatedly denigrate and tear down this community and to personally attack anyone who dares disagree with you.

No, it wouldn't. It would be filled with small businesses drawn to the area with low tax rates.

You are a retard. (Apologies to actual retarded people for lumping you in with this imbecile)

Complaining about excessive taxation is not tearing down the community.

Your acceptance of being the highest taxed place ion the country is literally tearing down the community.

As you keep fighting to funnel even more money to those who are already rich.

Homes are being taken faster than any time in the history of the county.

They are taken even though the county can't afford to demolish them without going further into debt.

You are totally against a free market driven economy.

You keep supporting the redistribution of wealth to the wealthy.

You are supporting a near future train wreck of bankruptcy.

You think money grows on trees.

You support millions upon millions in spending and tax exemptions for your corporate welfare queens.

You make Pelosi look like a Conservative.

If not for Proctor's and Metroplex, downtown would be a ghost town, except for the numerous businesses that existed there prior to Metroplex, such as Mr. James, Olender's, The Open Door, Orion, Patton's Natural Foods, Holiday Inn, Morette's...and Proctor's!
There wouldn't be a county turn around, which there isn't. If Metroplex is doing so much for the city, where is our increased share of the sales tax? Whywas Mr. Cuthbert, a man with a job, escorted out by police? Downtown just has a bunch of shiny buildings that weren't there before, that we paid for. That isn't a success story, no matter how hard they try to push it. It is successful only for a very few local residents who are in on it, and a lot of non-residents. Even Denise Brucker woke up and realized she was supporting a system of takers without getting her share. How come the "attractive" housing didn't attract her? She isn't one of the "skilled" people dying to live in a high-rise behind Proctor's? We're being told that the movers and shakers want apartments and condos. Wouldn't this move, and Morris', tend to refute that? Roger Hull probably could be classified as "skilled", yet he lives in a house. A big house, which Ms. Brucker could apparently not find one like, and an old one, yet we are told we need to build shiny new because our old houses are somehow "bad".
It would be nice if someone could explain this to me. Calling people nayboobs is not the same as refuting their arguments.

The greatest trick the devil ever played was convincing the world that he did not exist
