President Barack Obama: "It's 'Insane' That People On A No-Fly List Can Legally Buy A Gun In The U.S." "If you’re too dangerous to board a plane, you’re too dangerous, by definition, to buy a gun." ~~~ How can you not agree with this one? ~~~ |

How can you not agree? The people on a "no-fly list" are not guilty of a crime. |

Once on the plane... they then would be criminals... after they blow up the plane. |

What is the crime they are guilty of that keeps them off the plane? If they can't get on a plane, why aren't they in jail? Why are they allowed to get on trains, buses, subways, and cruise ships? Box loves his extrajudicial justice system. |

No shirt, No shoes, No service. There is no 2nd amendment type right to air travel. BTW, good idea to ban them from subways & buses since they are frequent targets of terrorism. |

There is a 5th Amendment that guarantees due process. I know you hate the 5th Amendment and would like to repeal it because of your fear of guns and "terrorists". |

June 2014
Quoted Text
PORTLAND, Ore. – In a landmark ruling, a federal judge struck down as unconstitutional the government’s procedures for people on the No Fly List to challenge their inclusion. The decision came in an American Civil Liberties Union lawsuit brought on behalf of 13 Americans who found themselves on the list without any notice, reasons, or meaningful way to get off it.
The judge ordered the government to create a new process that remedies these shortcomings, calling the current process “wholly ineffective” and a violation of the Fifth Amendment's guarantee of due process. The ruling also granted a key request in the lawsuit, ordering the government to tell the ACLU’s clients why they are on the No Fly List and give them the opportunity to challenge their inclusion on the list before the judge.
Not a violation of the 5th amendment. Sorry Cissy! |

Yes. The ruling fixed the due process issue. I also read: “Our clients will finally get the due process to which they are entitled under the Constitution." |

Quote from ACLU
Quoted Text
"After years of fighting in court for complete secrecy and losing, it's good that the government is finally now going to tell people of their status on the No Fly List," said Hina Shamsi, director of the ACLU National Security Project and the lead attorney on the case, in a statement.
"Unfortunately, we've found that the government's new redress process falls far short of constitutional requirements because it denies our clients meaningful notice, evidence, and a hearing. The government had an opportunity to come up with a fair process but failed, so we're challenging it in court again."
It seems boxy supports Obama's plan to violate the 2nd Amendment by violating the 5th Amendment. |

As you posted, the ACLU suit will see if it's constitutional or not... and then the Govt will act accordingly. |

Until then, the federal government will violate your rights, like it has for 13 years of the no-fly list. This time including violating your 2nd Amendment rights. |

So apparently, Cicero wants to decide what is Constitutional long before the Supreme Court does it's constitutional duty and decides that question. I know the US Constitution is sometimes cumbersome Cissy... but ya just have to go with it as the founding fathers designed. |
