You are the one that suggested that an abortion of a viable life because of possible mental retardation is a legit and legal reason.  Why only terminate a viable imperfect life in the womb?  Isn't it just as tough to raise a child that develops a mental retardation after birth?

Before birth, it's a choice...
after birth it's a murder.
Are you suggesting MURDER because I'm sure not?

So now that you are discussing something that you know a lot about... you're almost an expert on
the subject... selfish...
Would YOU be willing to pass legislation that would use YOUR tax dollars to raise this extremely retarded and
extremely costly child?
If a family who can afford a child or two, but because of YOUR RELIGIOUS laws to outlaw abortion,
they are forced to give birth to a infant with almost no functioning brain  Instead of a life filled with
several children who grow into adults, this family is strapped with a child who will never know them,
who's brain only functions enough to support life but never have one thought... and the huge expense
that would entail.

One near brain dead child to raise for the next 60-80 years...
or
Abort a 5 month old fetus and raise 6 healthy children to adults, then enjoy 12 healthy grandchildren,
(at about the same cost).
Some people do decide to raise this child, and they should be aided with our tax dollars for the decision.
No one should make that decision for them... not the courts, or the Right Wing Fanatics or the laws of
Texas.

Box and his religion of eugenics surfaces again.  He is doing a cost analysis on human life.  It's amazing his is so open about it.  Talk about greed and me me me.  I can name hundreds of things tax dollars are wasted on(mostly in the DOD and war on drugs) and box looks to cut costs by eliminating human life.

There are MANY examples where doctors(science) predicted a defect with an amniocentesis test, and the child came out perfectly healthy.  But, the science worshipers don't want that little fact to get out.  It doesn't suit the eugenics death crowd.

You are suggesting murder too.  The Cleveland kidnapper that kidnapped those three girls and beat them to induce an abortion is being charged with murder.  How can that be?

Like it or not, some families can only afford one child.  COST IS A FACTOR.  If you want to raise this
child, then please volunteer to raise it... That would be very admirable.
For the couple who want a child and now your law demands that they cannot have one because YOUR
RELIGIOUS LAWS forced them to continue an unwanted pregnancy.

So Cicero, you are contending that the SUPREME COURT OF THE US condones MURDER???

Only you and your religious fanatics would call aborting a clump of cells MURDER.

.

You are for social welfare, why not suggest more subsidies for families of mentally disabled children?  I'm pretty sure you can get the religious right to support that.  No, your solution is to abort, because in your cost analysis, it is more cost effective for society.

Box, your argument was not the personal cost, but the cost of mentally retarded people on society on a whole.  Pretty sick.

Many religious organizations are willing to raise these children.  But those religious people are evil for their willingness to even suggest caring for unwanted children.

SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador — An ill Salvadoran woman who delivered a baby without a brain
through a cesarean section after being denied a medical abortion is recovering well and has
had her tubes tied as she requested, doctors said Tuesday.

The 22-year-old woman was stable and remained in intensive care because of her fragile
health, doctors said.

"This is a period of high risk because of possible post-surgery complications related to her
health," said Dr. Xenia Sandoval, head of the Intensive Care Unit at Maternity Hospital.

Her baby girl was born without a brain and died five hours after the woman had a C-section
Monday.

Quoted Text
DUBLIN -- The debate over legalizing abortion in Ireland flared Wednesday after the government
confirmed that a woman in the midst of a miscarriage was refused an abortion and died in an Irish
hospital after suffering from blood poisoning.

Prime Minister Enda Kenny said he was awaiting findings from three investigations into the death
of Savita Halappanavar, a 31-year-old Indian woman who was 17 weeks pregnant. Her case
highlighted the legal limbo in which pregnant women facing severe health problems can find
themselves in predominantly Catholic Ireland

For Cicero, abortion is a political debate... for 31 year old Savita Halappanavar, Cicero's policy needlessly
cost her her life.
And Cic talks about murder... his policy killed this woman!

Many woman have c-sections, and many have them by choice.  It's a major surgery.  Whether the child had a defect or not has no relation to the recovery from a c-section.  If you a concerned about complications from c-sections, then lobby for stopping medically unnecessary c-section for women that choose them over natural child birth.

Unrelated box, the Texas law is 20 weeks not 17.

Keep posting the .0001 cases where death occurs to the mother because of giving birth.  Alinsky style.

This woman was denied a medical procedure that would have saved her life.
Why?
Religious Fanatics like you who FORCE your religious views on others.
Had she had the abortion she would be alive today... Instead YOUR RELIGIOUS views forced her to
give birth to a baby with out a brain and had NO CHANCE OF SURVIVAL.
I hope you and your like minded fanatics are satisfied with her death, cause your fanaticism caused it.
