Former CNN morning show host Soledad O’Brien will be joining Al Jazeera America as a special correspondent, the network announced Monday.
O’Brien will contribute short-form segments to Al Jazeera America’s current affairs magazine program “America Tonight,” and her production company Starfish Media Group will produce hourlong documentary specials.
“O’Brien’s career producing and reporting on the human side of many of the most important stories of the past decade will fit in perfectly with what Al Jazeera America will be covering every day,” Ehab Al Shihabi, executive director of Al Jazeera’s international operations and the senior executive developing the new channel, said in a statement. “Her dedication to that type of journalism is what makes it so exciting to announce that she and her production company are joining the Al Jazeera America team.”

n the first quarter of 2013 the trends for cable news viewership are affirming past performance. And once again, Fox News is losing viewers at a faster rate than its competitors.
While remaining on top overall, Fox lost nearly 20% of its total audience as compared to the same period last year. Even worse, in the critical advertising demographic of 18-54 year olds, Fox scared off a full third of their viewers. Only MSNBC managed to stay relatively flat, holding onto most of their audience.

I'm not defending FOX, I believe all MSM are basically agenda driven so the more people looking elsewhere is fine with me. I get most of my news off the internet because the media doesn't like to cover half the stories that should be important to Americans.

I'm suprised yahoo has more than Google, I think Google news does a much better job keeping up to date. On yahoo, I click on things sometimes and they are old links and stories.
