Yes but so far, he's beat the murder charge.  He is going to jail for shooting at the others in the
car as they were driving away... not for the murder.

He beats the murder charge only if he is acquitted or the prosecutor refuses to re-try him, which is NOT the case....
In reality, REGARDLESS of what happens in the murder re-trial, he will never see freedom again...he already has a life sentence.
Adding 70 years to his term will make no difference in the time he has to serve..

It may 'make a difference' to the next @sshole who decides that he can get away with murder in
a "stand your ground" law state.

Had the shooter stopped at 3 shots, he would have walked on the murder charges.  That he continued
to fire after the imaginary threat was gone is the reason that he is going to die in prison.

BTW, 9 of the 12 jurors voted for murder, 3 didn't, resulting in the hung jury.

philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

If it was a self defense situation (which in this case I believe it was not), you can't apply restraint in a non-restrained situation. This "overkill" scenario has been seen many times in other self defense cases as well as long term abuse cases.
What sunk his ship was the fact that no gun was found in the SUV, and the Martin case still in peoples minds.

The Jury actually started at 10-2 for conviction and went to 9-3 later... at that point, it made no sense to go any further.

George Zimmerman chased by angry mob in Miami

(Getting away with MURDER isn't so funny now is it Georgie?)
Quoted Text
George Zimmerman taped an interview last Tuesday with Univision and Fusion, and then took his girlfriend,
her kid and his brother to the beach.  While they were catching some rays, people noticed him, started
harassing him, and then someone shouted out George had a $10,000 bounty on his head.

We're told it freaked him out and they all retreated to the hotel, but the crowd followed them.

Security swept their room to make sure no one tampered with their stuff and then stood guard throughout
the day and night.  We're told Zimmerman did his CNN interview early the next morning and then beat it ...
literally fleeing Miami.

"The man who will forever be known for killing an unarmed black teenager basked in the limelight
Saturday at — where else? — a gun show in central Florida.

According to television station WESH, George Zimmerman "greeted people and autographed photos of
him posing with his dog."

Organizers of the event were forced change locations after the original venue was hit with a public
backlash over Zimmerman's planned appearance."

I wonder if he signed any guns, I would of had him sign my shotgun In fact its amazing gun companies haven't ask him to start up a line of new firearms using his name, that would be a money maker and a half. Slogan could be "expect no warning shots"

he should be the spokesman for men's healthcare via Obamacare....

Z-man condoms
Z-man viagra
Z-man baby daddy

I think he would fit there very well.....

he could be the poster child of the baby daddy escorting baby mommy to the welfare building so he could take responsibility as
such.

George Zimmerman Is Broke, Has No Job, And Spends $100 A Month Vacations

Quoted Text
George Zimmerman claims he is jobless, debt-ridden and burning through money on vacations.

Zimmerman says he’s been unable to find a job since he was acquitted last year for the
murder of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.

During the trial Zimmerman and his wife went into hiding, but after his acquittal he began
his descent into a very public meltdown which included, but was not limited to: hitting his
father-in-law, smashing up his ex-wife’s possessions, leaving a bullet-ridden target at her
house, and later pointing a shotgun at his girlfriend.

He’s also been said to be suicidal, and according to the records, spends about $200 a
month on psychological, psychiatric or mental health counseling.

His estranged wife, Shellie, told Katie Couric that she felt Zimmerman is “a ticking time bomb.”

In his divorce case, Zimmerman claims to have just $14,000 in total assets – most of it
comprising of his 2008 Honda pickup – and carries a debt of around $2.5 million. Almost
all of the money he owes belongs to his defense attorneys in his murder trial.

It’s staggering how much debt Zimmerman has accrued considering his brief moment of
celebrity where conservatives couldn’t give him money fast enough. Apparently all of
that is now gone. The legal defense fund that conservatives rushed to pour money into
and once topped $400,000? All gone. And no sign of the painting he sold for $100,000
on eBay late last year, either. Zimmerman is absolutely broke.

I find that hard to believe.  He would make a good cop.  He shot an unarmed black kid and got away with it.  Just like a cop.
