Yea!  HE won't win reelection again... oh wait... he's not running for anything!

nope...but his 'party' is...and his fellow elbow rubbers are.....status quo

maybe the millennials will blow that status quo up????

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Nearly every recent report shows an economy picking up at least a little speed
heading into 2014: The jobless rate is falling, house prices are rising, the stock market
is soaring and overall economic growth just handily beat expectations. Friday’s
employment report is expected to show another gain of somewhere close to
200,000 jobs.

Yea!  I Will!  As soon as you show me the JOBS BILL from the US Congress, or the
health care plan offered by the Repukes, or the cuts to SNAP so that kids will go
hungry!

Article I of the Constitution, grants Congress the sole authority to enact legislation.

They were not cuts... they were the end of temporary increases enacted due to the great recession...
That's like calling the end of a sale on cars a price increase....or the reduction in the rate of increase of a government program as a cut...

SO according to your way of thinking, if Obama suddenly ended the Bush Tax Cuts for the Rich...
IT WOULDN'T BE A TAX INCREASE!

As long as they passed as temporary, which they were because they have to be RENEWED, then yes I agree.

JUST like I don't consider the expiration of the payroll tax cuts that saw EVERYONE's paycheck reduced, as a tax increase, again, because they were temporary.
Unlike you Boxy, I don't run lock step with a political party. I have some core beliefs and I'll call it the way I see it based on those beliefs regardless of the persons political affiliation.

Why Young People Will Embrace Obamacare

1. Young people are not actually invincible. They can be turned in an instant to people with
pre-existing conditions — which is to say, people who will benefit from the protection of
Obamacare.

2. Going without insurance is morally wrong. Getting insurance will be part of living in a
decent society where everyone chips in when they can afford it, and free-riding is frowned
upon — and over time, young people will come to see this as part of being a responsible citizen.

3. It’s the law.

4. People haven’t grasped how the subsidies work yet. Once the range of financial help
trickles through the national consciousness young people will be surprised at the prices
on offer.

5. Pressure from mom and dad.

6. Being uninsured sucks!

I see you don't have a response for your epic failure in trying shoe-horn me in into a particular party, so I'll help a little in understanding "some" of my core beliefs...

I am what I consider to be a social moderate, even leaning toward liberal,as such I support:

Gay rights
drug legalization
abortion rights
free contraception for all ...90%+ of all abortions are simply done for birth control, it's cheaper to do it this way.
Healthcare for all - but be honest that most WILL pay more so that the rest can get coverage.

I am more of a fiscal conservative, with some moderate tendencies..
I am for social aid...PROVIDED that substantial efforts are made to eliminate fraud, both from the provider and recipient. It may cost more do it this way, but it's proper thing to do...and for those that are able to work and can't find jobs? A public works program so society benefits from the money they give the recipients
Military intervention only for our national interests, and yes, some of those interests can be economic.
Balanced budget...spend only what you take in, to get out of this mess, caused by both parties, tax increases and budget cuts need to take place.

This looks it was written by someone that was never a parent...
Everything he writes makes sense... to someone in their 30's on up...but trying telling that to a young adult and getting them to listen...
ObamaCare depends on the healthy young subsidizing the unhealthy older population...they need the young to sign up..that's a heck of a gamble...

Which part of the constitution allows the President to only execute the parts of the Bills he likes?  sh*t, he's overriding Obamacare law as we type.  I think legislation is now only recommendations.
