The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

He would rather we all be the same level of poor and stupid, like he is.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

The Bush Tax-Cut Failure

Quoted Text
Bruce Bartlett rounds up economic research showing that the tax cuts passed by President
George W. Bush from 2001 to 2003 failed to meet even the administration’s promised results.

“This initiative originated with the economist R. Glenn Hubbard, who had been chairman of the Council
of Economic Advisers when the proposal was sent to Congress… Mr. Hubbard had also spearheaded
enactment of big tax cuts in 2001 and 2002 that he said would jump-start the American economy…
There is no evidence that the tax cut had any such effect… Hence the need for yet another big tax cut.”

“The idea of the 2003 legislation was to raise dividend payouts, thereby bolstering personal income,
and raise the prices of common stock, which would improve household balance sheets… Subsequent
research, however, found that the increase in dividends was a short-term phenomenon and mainly
at companies where stock options were a major form of executive compensation.”

“It is hard to find even a reputable conservative economist willing to say anything
good these days about President Bush’s tax and economic policies.”

It is funny that the extreme left wing nuts complain about "wealth inequality" when most of the Pelosipalosers in Congress are THEMSELVES getting rich through their taxpayer funded jobs with the big salaries and expense accounts .. AND through enriching themselves and their campaign contributors through government favors and contracts.

Pelosi - the wicked witch of the west herself - spent $100,000 each year of taxpayer money just on the booze that she and her entourage consumed in alcohol while flying around the country in a government provided jet.  No word on how much she spent on food or the cost of actually flying that jet every week to different places in the country.    *** (just an aside) IMHO  ... Pelosi should be able to win in a lawsuit against her plastc surgeon --- unless she actually wanted to look like the bride of Frankenstein.

Then we hear the Democrats in Congress crying because they and their staffers can't afford the "high cost" of food in the tax-payer subsidized cafeterias on Capitol Hill.   The fact is that the prices in those cafeterias are in line with food costs in other places .. and if they can't budget their big salaries to afford to buy lunch or -- and here is a novel idea -- learn how to pack a brown bag lunch like most other ordinary Americans .. the maybe they are too ignorant to be working on Capitol Hill.

Obamanomics: Rich Get Richer, Everyone Else Poorer

When President Obama first ran in 2008, he claimed his economic policies would "foster economic growth from the bottom up and not just from the top down." He said he'd put in place "an immediate rescue plan for the middle class" and would end the "tired, worn-out, trickle-down ideologies we've been seeing for so many years."

Obama got all he wanted in his first two years in the White House, when Democrats had solid control of Congress — a massive stimulus, auto industry bailouts, temporary middle class tax cuts, vast new regulations on businesses and ObamaCare.

But his policies produced the exact opposite of what he'd promised. The latest evidence is a Pew Research Center report out this week, which shows that only the rich have made gains under Obama, while everyone else has fallen further behind.

Using Census data on net worth, the Pew report found that from 2009 to 2011, the richest 7% of Americans saw their net worth climb an average $697,651 — equal to a 28% gain.

The rest of the country saw their net worth drop an average $6,079 — equal to a 4% loss.

As a result, far from making the country more equal, Obama's policies have produced a greater concentration of wealth, with the share of wealth held by the top 7% rising to 63% in 2011, up from 56% in 2009, Pew found.
