They are almost at their goal of raising the money for this car, I guess the SPLC is going nuts over this, that should be enough to toss a little dough towards it

Danica is nothing but a product of our popular culture. The ONLY reason she is in a car is because of her looks...if she was a guy or an ugly broad, she'd be running dirt tracks in Iowa..
Lyn St James career and skill level makes Danica look like she is a glorified cab driver. St James isn't a knockout, which is why she never got run to Indy with a world class team, like Danica did...and she still couldn't win the 500...St James placed eighth in the 500 with team that could barely get the car to the track, not a team like Team Andretti, where Danica was. The only Indycar race Danica did win was a fluke fuel mileage gamble.

Now in NASCAR, Danica is with highly financed teams...Dale Earnhardt junior's team in the Nationwide and Tony Stewart's Team in Sprint Cup. Both these teams have won races in the past two years, but not with Danica....Danica brings in sponsorship, money and PR..all key to keeping a team financially stable...that's her best contribution right now. She is OK on the superspeedways, but a back marker just about everywhere else....just like her IndyCar career...

If Jeffrey Earnhardt looked like Danica, with the Earnhardt name, he could be a back marker and get plenty of sponsorship for as long as he wanted...

Box, go back to DNC social issues, you're out of your league on this one.

First Tbird proposes Danica's name, then he $hits a brick when I show him how much more
qualified she is than Earnhardt's grandson!

OK then... there are a hundred drivers who actually know how to race and win races.
Earnhardt is in racing because of his name... not because of his skills, not because of
his ability, or because of his money... His grandad used to be somebody... other than
that, his only claim to fame is that he now has a gig pimping for the Oathkeepers Right
Wing Militia front group.

How about:
Jimmy Johnson, Carl Edwards, Kasey Kahne, Jr. Clint Bowyer, Brad Keselowski, Kyle Busch...
You know... actual drivers!

No, not at all...You just got your a** handed to you because you made the assumption I knew nothing about racing. .Danica and Jeffrey Earnhardt have not won a NASCAR race.. which puts them in the same class as far as I'm concerned.

The guys you list above are real drivers in my book because they have won races...but that's not the point here.
We are talking about Earnhardt and Danica...Until one wins, they are in the same class. If they both qualify for a race, they're in the field...good for them...but still pretty much the same.

You may consider them "in the same class" but I sure don't.  I'm no Danica fan, but I follow her at the
races just because she is breaking ground.
Danica:
Danica has a future in racing, as well as advertising and possibly even modeling, or announcing.
Of the women in the last 20 years, Danica has the best shot at actually winning a race.  She has
reliable sponsors, a proven race team, and lots of $$$.
As a first year full time Sprint cup racer, she is about average compared to others.

Jeffrey Earnhardt:
Pimp for Oathkeepers Militia Front Group.
Um.... his grand dad was a NASCAR champion, that's about it.
His dad, Kerry Earnhardt actually did win one race in his 72 races run over 10 years in the
Nationwide series.

Danica is NASCAR's version of Anna Kornakova..minus about 30% of the looks...and maybe a little more professional talent
The only reason she is doing "above average"(currently ranked 26th of 33 drivers who started all the races), for a rookie is she is with a top-flight team with top-flight equipment.
The only guy I can think of that had a similar opportunity recently is Joey Logano ( he ranked 20th in his rookie season)...the rest start with 2nd rate teams until they get noticed.

IMHO, she will never be anything but a one-trick pony...as in superspeedway specialist.. she can't fight her way out of paper bag on a road course...she's shown that her entire career. I expect she MAY get a win or two in the next few years..most likely at 2+ milers or Charlotte, but IMHO, she will never make the chase as you can't take mulligans on road courses and other tracks that she can't seem to handle.

Danica no concern of mine.

Jeffrey Earnhardt on the other has nothing going for his racing and sold out to a quick buck
from the Oathkeepers Extremists...  probably the most notable move of his lame career.

NASCAR Sponsorship Costs

Quoted Text
There are three main levels of sponsorship – Associate, Major, and Primary.
The amount of financial
support for a team will vary not only on the level of sponsorship agreed to but within
that level to such perks
as the number of driver appearances, advertising guarantees, and most importantly,
where the companies
logo or logos will appear on the cars.
An example of the typical costs:

$500,000 to $2 million for an Associate sponsor
- A logo on either the lower rear quarter panels, the rear deck lid, or one post.

$2 to $5 million for a Major sponsor - A logo prominently displayed
on either the rear quarter panels or the rear deck lid, and the uniforms.

$10 to $20 million for a Primary sponsor - Logos on the entire hood
and quarter panels, the signage below the quarter panels, most of the two posts, the
equipment, the uniforms, as well as the color scheme of the car and team uniforms.

Henry's sponsor
Managed to find some lame @ss "driver" and desperate racing team who will sponsor just
about anybody for
the amazing sum of $59.95!!!

Seriously, the Oathkeepers sponsoring a fly by night, no name, no win, backwoods,
grandson of a legitimate driver
will cost them a grand total of...
(drum roll please)
$30,000!

You and your wingnut liberal friends could sponsor a race car for some deviant liberal political cause.
