Salon owner gets competitor banned from new Mazzone restaurant

LATHAM — Salon owner Jean Claude Simille, who owns three Jean Paul Spa & Salon locations in the Capital Region, was asked to leave the new Tala American Bistro in Latham in the middle of dinner on Friday and was told he is banned from the restaurant because of bad blood between him and the owners of Rumors Salon & Spa and Rumors IV Men. Tala leases space on the north side of the 12,000-square-foot Rumours building at 626 New Loudon Road (Route 9) but is not affiliated with the salon.

Restaurateur Angelo Mazzone, who co-owns Tala with partners Leah and Tom Tyrrell, confirmed that Simille, who was quietly having dinner and not misbehaving, was asked to leave and never return, at the request of Rumours co-owner Marri Aviza.

"We can't afford to alienate (Rumours)," said Mazzone. He estimated that more than 25 percent of Tala's business will come from the salon's 100-plus employees, more from clients and other referrals.

Being that so many of us here - are HATED by the dictatorship- , if we were "outted" do you think that the democrap leaders would demand that we not be allowed to dine in one of those establishments? I honestly think after reading this- that Angelo might not want to "alienate" the leadership of the democraps by serving us lowly, troublemaking scoundrels. I see a day coming when basic services will be proudly and happily denied to certain segments of the population due to their political speech or beliefs as well. I see him as someone now who will jump through any hoop not to PO those he is afraid of alienating. Scary thought. The Klan would have burned down a diner that served blacks in the same section as white too, or a hotel that allowed Jews to stay there. Interesting and unsettling.

"If you serve those no-good conservatives, then we will yank our business from you! We will boycott you and call you a hater! We will raise your taxes, dammit!"

Mark my words, this day is at hand. I figure t will be common practice as those who are on the "losing side" philosophically, are scapegoated. Look at how large financial institutions are denying gun shops the ability to bank with them. Just wait and see.
