Perhaps the comments earlier by Bumble, L4L an GB didn't catch ur attention sufficiently for you to offer similar appeal.

I apologize for the outburst, but I just feel the hypothetical arguments that you and the other person were beginning to engage in were inappropriate to the topic of the thread. I am only on these boards to discuss and put forth my opinion on 3 boards.

This is after all the Rotterdam NY. Info Message Board. I am interested in Rotterdam specific topics therefore I will only read and post in those boards. I will occasionally read or post in the Outside Schenectady. And I will read or post in the Chit Chat board most specifically the Les Paul video thread, as I find that amusing and fun. Any others I have no interest in. I won't read 'em and won't post there.

Too often these threads get turned into political and hypothetical free for alls. I do not wish to participate. As to the others you spoke of, I have no idea what L4L posts in most instances, as he/she is held in high esteem on my block user list. I may occasionally communicate, but in general no. Bumble and GB? Well I did go back and read their comments, and though they may have been a bit off topic, they didn't cross the line into an obvious political discussion.

I am in no way trying to play mod here. I'm just pointing out the obvious. There's hundred's of other threads to hash and rehash the things you guys like to hash and rehash. I just thought it would be refreshing to have a thread where that doesn't occur. As you may have noticed, I have no problem telling people what I think. If you felt I was too harsh then my apologies.

We had four months of Box and the left politicizing the personal tragedy of Newtown.  When you live under a collective state, EVERYTHING is politicized.  Personal tragedies don't exist, there is always some greater social ill and some group to blame for it and some politician promising to fix it.  Yes, it's sad.

What type of discussion on an internet forum do you expect with such a tragedy?  Just curious.  I never seen you chime in on the Newtown School shooting thread that was ultra politicized.

For this particular thread I think the focus should be on the actual events. You know facts as they're reported, not hypotheticals. I would expect the next news would be of the grand jury findings. That's what this thread should be about. I even set up a thread for you political junkies to chime in on the hypothetical stuff.

As to why I didn't weigh in on the Newtown thread.

I posted in an earlier reply that I am only here to read and comment on Rotterdam Specific issues, and of course the Les Paul thread where I enjoy sharing videos. I do not have enough time left on this earth to worry about the other crap. I don't read it, don't want to get involved with everybody else's personal problem, and to put it quite simply "I simply don't care."

So there ya go that's how I feel.
