Bill Richardson, former New Mexico governor and U.N. ambassador, said Sunday that Kim Jong Un
is playing to three different audiences with his recent nuclear threats.

~"First, he's playing to the North Korean generals, they run the show -- the military," Richardson
said on NBC's "Meet the Press" Sunday. "He's playing to the Korean Worker's Party, the leadership there.
~ Secondly, he's playing to his own people. He got burned by that missile test that failed and he feels
he has to buttress his domestic standing.
~ Third thing that he's doing is he's testing the new South Korean president. Every year or -- every
five years or so when a new South Korean president comes in, North Korea does a provocative act."

Bill Richardson?....Where the hell did they dig him up?

His whole line is total BS and he has no idea wtf he's talking about.

Play to his own people?.....He's starving them to death!

And someone fill in Richardson that they did SUCESSFULLY fire a staged rocket with a satellite payload into orbit.

Quoted Text
North Korea's newly launched satellite marks a "big deal" for Pyongyang, the crossing of a major threshold and a public relations win for the secretive country's new leader, Kim Jong Un, experts say.

Poor bumble...It must be hard going through life for you. Thinking that you know things and getting it smacked back in your face all the time.

The only one that used the power of the atom?  Yes (oh and Japan surrendered right after that...Then we protected and rebuilt their entire nation)

The only nation who ever used a 'weapon of mass destruction' during WW2? Hell No. (You might want to look into the casualty rates of firebombing missions done to both Japan and Germany and compare them to atom bomb casualties)

But please bumble, tell me more about how evil America is.

North Korea reportedly warns Tokyo would be first target of nuclear attack
DEBKAfile Special Report April 12, 2013, 9:00 PM (GMT+02:00)

Tokyo, Japan faces North Korean threat

US and Japanese sources reported Friday, April 12,  that North Korea has warned Japan that Tokyo would be the first target if Pyongyang decided to launch a nuclear attack. This was in response to Japan’s orders to its armed forces to shoot down any North Korean missile that heads toward its territory. Taking the threat seriously, Japan has deployed Patriot interceptors around its capital.
Japanese defense officials refused to confirm reports about their naval alert saying they do not want to “show their cards” to North Korea.
On arrival in Seoul Friday, US Secretary of State John Kerry said: “We will stand with South Korea and Japan against these threats. And we will defend ourselves," he said. He rejected the Pentagon's assessment that Pyongyang had probably developed nuclear weapons which could be mounted on ballistic missiles, saying that North Korea had still not developed or fully tested the nuclear capabilities needed for this step.
The White House again insisted Friday that North Korea had not demonstrated a capability to deploy a nuclear-armed missile, evidently intent on having the last word in the debate with the Pentagon on this matter.

DEBKAfile reported earlier Friday:
Friday, April 12, the US raised its nuclear alert status to DEFCON 3, Condition Yellow (out of 5 levels), stating “There are currently no imminent nuclear threats against the United States at this time, however the situation is considered fluid and can change rapidly.”

Many believe that North Korea will launch their test missile on or about April 15. Japan has instructed its armed forces to shoot down any North Korean missile that heads toward its territory.
Contrary to comments from the White House Thursday, the Pentagon reported that “North Korea probably has nuclear weapons that can be mounted on ballistic missiles.” This is a very significant admission by the United States and a dangerous change to the Korean situation.

Creating a North Korean Threat

Stephen Lendman

Washington needs enemies. When none exist, they're invented. A previous article said North Korea's straight from central casting.

Pyongyang threatens no one. Media scoundrels say otherwise. So does Obama. On the one hand, he claims no one wants war on the Korean peninsula. He urges Pyongyang "to pursue peace."

On the other, he's heightening tensions. He accused its leaders of "bad behavior," "threats," and "provocations." He's creating crisis conditions that didn't exist. He's spoiling for trouble doing so.

On Friday, John Kerry warned Kim Jong-un. Test-launching its Musudan missile threatens to inflame "an already volatile, potentially dangerous situation," he said.

He claimed Washington's open to negotiations. Denuclearizing the North comes first. Since Korean War hostilities ended, America never negotiated in good faith.

Promises made were broken. North Koreans remember. Efforts to normalize relations were spurned. A longstanding uneasy armistice continues.

Fidel Castro commented. He discussed "great challenges" humanity faces. The "situation created in the Korean Peninsula (is) one of the most serious dangers of nuclear war since the October Crisis around Cuba in 1962, he said."

If war erupts, "the peoples of both part of the Peninsula will be terribly sacrificed…." It'll provide added proof that Obama is "the most sinister character in the history of the United States."

My God bumble! Why do you read such trash?

Do you seriously think we 'invented' the N.Korean threat? Do you think the N.Korean army is some sort of joke? That it will be ineffective in the event of war?

We didn't start this. We aren't the ones doing nuclear bomb testing. We aren't the ones coming out publicly and saying 'we are going to nuke your cities.'

You're the one that believes a nation intelligent enough to develop a nuclear weapon, is also so stupid as to announce their plans to attack.  Yeah, they're giving the worlds #1 military superpower a sporting chance.

Yes, we invented N Korea.

Huh?  That is the point.  The western press has been bombarding us with war propaganda supposedly reporting every military maneuver N Korea is making.  Either N Korea is stupid enough to telegraph their military moves and give us time to maneuver our military into position to counter them, or Americans are stupid enough to believe it.  I'll go with the latter.
