Female Essex sailor dies of gunshot wound

By Nathan Max12:33 p.m.March 21, 2013

A 19-year-old female sailor was found shot and mortally wounded aboard the Amphibious Assault Ship Essex Thursday morning, the Navy said.

The woman, whose name was withheld while her family was informed of her death, was taken to UC San Diego’s trauma center where she was later pronounced dead, Navy spokesman Rick Chernitzer said. A formal investigation is being conducted, Chernitzer added.

The Navy has not said whether the wound was self-inflicted, or if any suspects are in custody.

“Since an investigation is being conducted, it would be inappropriate for me to speculate on anything,” Chernitzer said. “The Navy family is greatly saddened by the loss of our sailor, and our thoughts go out to the family, friends and shipmates.”

It's always sad when someone is killed, especially such a young person.  Whether by her own hand
or by murder, it's a tragedy.  The tragedy is exactly the same if she were a civilian or a sailor.
I see no difference.
You seem to.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Paid killers are more likely to kill.

You support them.

It's sad, but never a premise to your arguments for gun control.  Military suicide and homicide seem to never be an argument to restrict guns in the hands of ALL soldiers, but it has been your argument for banning AR rifles for citizens.  Now you've moved you argument for background checks, how clever.

Background checks don't stop military murders or suicides. Why should we expect it to work on civilians.

It just sounds like another black market industry for those who will approve your purchases.

Just like border patrol guards who get rich granting exceptions to the laws.

Just listen to what the government says, they never lie

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

The definition of kill is to cause the death of.  She either killed herself with a gun purposely or accidentally, or somebody else killed her with a gun purposely or accidentally.  You definition of kill has nothing to do with not serving the cause, your definition doesn't serve THE DICTIONARY DEFINITION.
