I fear crazy people with guns and irresponsible people with guns, and criminals with guns... as should we all.
But you want to disarm the guns you don't like from the people who are sane, responsible, and law abiding citizens, why do you fear those people with a gun.

A man claiming to be a trained Marine sniper threatened to assassinate a California lawmaker if he supported an assault weapons ban, newly unsealed court documents obtained by the San Jose Mercury News reveal.

Everett Fred Basham, 45, was arrested in February after sending a threatening email to Democratic state Sen. Leland Yee. Police uncovered several homemade bombs and firearms, including a .416 Barrett sniper rifle, at his Santa Clara home.
“I have 39 confirmed kills in afganistan [sic],” Basham wrote in his email to Yee. “Don’t make me get to 40.”
His military service has not been confirmed. Police also found fake Army credentials in his home.

A teenager who was shot and killed in Sterling, Virginia over the weekend may have accidentally entered the wrong home after a night of drinking.
Law enforcement officials told The Washington Post that the drunk teen had been dropped off by friends at a house just two doors down from where he lived. Both houses were two story, red brick homes and on the same side of the street.
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office refused to release the names of anyone involved, and only described the shooting as an unknown intruder being killed by a homeowner.

The first few hours of St. Patrick's Day quickly devolved into tragedy after a Sterling homeowner shot and killed a Park View High School student in the early hours of March 17.
According to reports from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred around 2:30 a.m., when 16-year-old Caleb Gordley entered a neighbor's home on the 45900 block of Pullman Court in Sterling. Gordley had been drinking alcohol that evening before being dropped off at Pullman Court, where he lives. Rather than go to his house, Gordley entered a neighbor's residence two doors down.
The resident was alerted by a house alarm and discovered Gordley on the stairwell. Gordley was killed at the scene.
Police are still investigating why Gordley entered the home. A rear window was found open -though not broken- and police believe it to be the point of entry.
Gordley was a junior at the nearby Park View High School. He was active in school athletics, participating in football, basketball and baseball for the Patriots. An aspiring rapper, Gordley wrote his own music and was often found rapping on the sidelines of his games.

A press release from the Minneapolis Division FBI, said that “special agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, in conjunction with the Montevideo Police Department; the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office; the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives; the Minnesota State Highway Patrol; the Bloomington Police Department; the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office (South Dakota); the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources; and members of CEE-VI (Cooperative Enforcement Effort), executed a search warrant in Montevideo, Minnesota. Several guns and explosive devices were discovered during the search of the residence” on Friday.
Buford “Bucky” Rogers, 24, was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. An Associated Press report said that Rogers, a “militia type” , had previously been convicted for felony burglary in 2011 and a misdemeanor charge of dangerous handling of a weapon in 2009. (BUCKY! Of Course His Name is BUCKY!!! )
“The FBI believes that a terror attack was disrupted by law enforcement personnel and that the lives of several local residents were potentially saved,” the FBI said in a statement.
A federal affidavit obtained by the AP indicated that Molotov cocktails, pipe bombs and a Romanian AKM assault rifle had been recovered from Buford’s residence at the mobile home park in Montevideo.
Rogers reportedly told authorities that he had fired the assault rifle on at least two occasions at a Granite Falls gun range.
The FBI declined to say if Rogers was acting alone or if other arrests were expected.

Minn. Police Chief Adam Christopher told ABC News Rogers had started a group called the Black Snake Militia, an organization with anti-government tendencies. Two senior law enforcement sources told ABC News Rogers appears to be a "militia"-type suspect whose targets potentially included local authorities.
