A GunHugger in Florida was arrested on Wednesday after he opened fire at a suspected Walmart shoplifter because he said he felt threatened and wanted to “mark” the man’s car for police.
As unarmed 42-year-old Eddie McKee allegedly ran from an Orange City Walmart with stolen merchandise, 35-year-old Jose Martinez pulled out his gun and fired at least five bullets, according to WKMG.
“I saw one black gentleman running from the parking lot, he dove in his car,” a caller told 911. “And there were two older gentlemen chasing him down. One drew a gun, ripped open the guys car door and screamed, ‘Freeze, freeze, don’t move!’ And then fired shots.”
Bullets riddled McKee’s vehicle, hitting the trunk and shattering the back window. Two other cars were also hit by gunfire.
Martinez told WKMG that he was shocked that police arrested him because he thought no one other than the shoplifter was in danger. He said he just wanted to mark the man’s car for police.
Orange City police argued that surveillance video showed that the gun owner was never in danger because McKee was in the process of fleeing when the shooting occurred. (Now for the good part) Martinez was charged with aggravated assault and shooting into an occupied vehicle, both felonies.
McKee faced a misdemeanor charge after police caught up with him in DeLand.

A man with at least four weapons — including a military-style M4 assault rifle — is in police custody after he allegedly killed at least one while shooting up a bar in North Fayette, Pennsylvania.
According to police, the shooting happened around 12:45 a.m. Monday at the Fort Pitt Inn.
A man in the bar became agitated with someone he was having a text message conversation with, abruptly got up and walked out to his truck. He has been identified as David Mazzocco, 25, of Imperial. Mazzocco grabbed three guns from his truck, walked back into the bar and opened fire.
”He was having relationship problems and may have been in the midst of an argument with someone via his cell phone and text messaging. Left the bar, went out to his car, returned to the bar with what we know now is three hand guns. He gets into the bar and tells two of the patrons to leave. He then starts shooting the other patrons of the bar,” Allegheny County Police Lt. Andrew Schurman said.
Two men were shot in the head and one of them was pronounced dead at a local hospital. That victim has been identified as James Adams, 29, of Imperial.
The other victim was last listed in critical condition at the hospital. Their name has not been released at this time.
Two other people in the bar courageously tackled Mazzocco to the ground and subdued him until police could arrive. Unarmed citizens defended themselves against an armed GunHugger!!! )

my experience with gun lovers is that most of them have an addiction. and i mean addiction is the truest medical and legal definition. as it applies to drugs such as heroin and meth. It didn't matter that he owned an M4, because he didn't use it. It's not even relevant to the story.
I'm quite sure that none of the patrons were happy to see any weapon pointed at them, but bet they would have PREFERED him coming with the M4, since an expert like yourself would know that it would be easier to attempt to disarm someone with a weapon that is 28" long and needs 2 hands to be properly used, than two 9" pistols, one held in each hand.

For some I agree it's an addiction. They NEED, not want guns. Like an addict, they can never have enough. Any restriction, no matter how reasonable is seen as a direct threat between them and their addiction. For some, they project their masculinity through their guns. As posted countless times before, I support good gun laws and I support the 2nd amendment.
Some on this board seem to think that it's one or the other... You CAN have good, reasonable gun laws and support the 2nd amendment. Most Americans and most NRA members support background checks for all gun sales, is just one example.

I used to belong to a gun club too, although the only reason that I joined was to use their range. The last time I shot my pistol was in December, but before that it's been ??? over two years.
