The Republican Party’s obsession with Obama scandals is backfiring in a big way, as the party’s disapproval rating has shot up to 59%.
The latest CNN/ORC poll contained some great news for Democrats, and very troubling developments for Republicans. Over the past two months, disapproval of the Republican Party has risen from 54% to 59%. The Republican Party’s favorability rating has fallen from 38% in March to 35% today. This a net (-8) point swing over the past two months.
Hopefully the Republicans won't abandon their GOP invented scandals any time soon.

It is very unlikely that the GOP will lose control of the House. We have a great team in the House with representatives like Chris Gibson and Paul Ryan.

Red-faced Republicans, circling and preparing to pounce on a second-term Democratic president they loathe, do not respect, and certainly do not fear. Sound familiar? Perhaps reminiscent of Bill Clinton’s second term, after the Monica Lewinsky story broke? During that time, Republicans became so consumed by their hatred of Clinton and their conviction that this event would bring him down that they convinced themselves the rest of the country was just as outraged by his behavior as they were. By the way, what was Clinton’s lowest Gallup job-approval rating in his second term, throughout the travails of investigations and impeachment? It was 53 percent. The conservative echo machine had worked itself into such a frenzy, the GOP didn’t realize that the outrage was largely confined to the ranks of those who never voted for Clinton anyway.

Five other post-World War II presidential elections had closer outcomes. The simple fact is that although the Republican sharks are circling, at least so far, there isn’t a trace of blood in the water.

He's right. There is GOP "anger" that understand the republicrats are partially responsible for the $16 trillion debt. They are partially responsible for the corporatist government and fascist policies. They are partially responsible for the economic collapse and bailout of millionaire corporate bankers while the rest of America watches their net worth plummet.
There is a growing number of people that are paying attention to economic plundering of the average American and loss of civil liberties, and they understand that the old guard establishment Republics went along with it and never really offered any opposition to the self evowed statists in the Democrat Party. The Republicans that Dole mentioned are responsible for incrementally bringing America to the dire straights we are in today.
So, I agree with Bob Dole, and I believe it's a good thing. The Republican statists are being purged from government. There is a decentralization of power happening today, and those that believe in centralized authoritarian government are losing ground, and they are beginning to realize it. And envoking the name of Reagan and other Republican establishment icons is doing little to shift that momentum.
On ABC’s This Week, Sen. Paul said, “I think the constellation of these three scandals ongoing really takes away from the president’s moral authority to lead the nation. Nobody questions his legal authority, but I really think he is losing the moral authority to lead the nation, and he really needs to put a stop to this. I don’t care whether you are a Republican or a Democrat. Nobody likes to see the opposite party punishing you for your political beliefs.”
When asked if he saw any evidence that a crime was committed so far, Paul gave the standard conspiracy theory answer of, “I don’t think we know so far.”
Despite the fact that Obama’s increasing job approval ratings defy Rand Paul’s claim that the president is losing moral authority, Republicans are incrementally trying to make the case for Obama impeachment. It doesn’t appear to have entered into the Republican mind that 61% of Americans think Obama is telling the truth about the IRS scandal, and the president’s job approval rating is going up.
