The problem seems to originate in the minds of those posters, not in the actions of the police.

Chasing people around enforcing laws and putting people in jail or fining them(or shooting them) is their job. I would never say I have a hatred for cops, but I definitely acknowledge what they do for a living and there is very little that is heroic or noble about it. Their lives and safety is no more valuable than mine. When I see the LAPD offering a $1 million reward and exhausting that many resources in this manhunt, I realize that they indeed believe their lives are MUCH more valuable than the common citizen. If this was a serial killer murdering prostitutes, it would not get nearly as many resources as a "cop killer". Same thing with the guards, the 15 year old was charged with a crime while the shooters have not.(according to reports)
Liberals like to preach about equality, but the reality is, the state agent has special privileges that the general public isn't afforded, and this manhunt couldn't make it any clearer.

The police do NOT make the laws, YOUR representatives that YOU elect (if you bothered to vote) make the laws, law enforcement... as their name implies, enforces those laws. Blaming the police for enforcing the laws that they are hired to enforce makes very little sense.
A good cop on a good day can settle many disputes BEFORE they turn into crimes. Family disputes that might end in a domestic violence arrest can be defused if handled well.
There are a few bad cops, and even good cops do make mistakes, but IMO they do a very good job on a very difficult process.

I've posted on a dozen message boards over the years... this is the only one that I've posted on that has a deep hatred for the police. There are bad cops... some are awesome cops... most are somewhere in between. If you were to make up your opinion of America's police force strictly by the posts on this board, you would assume that every cop is a deranged killer.
We don't hate cops.
We protest those who kill without due process.
You support executions without a trial.
You translate protesting killers, into hating the police and the government.
We don't have a say in criminals that kill.
We do get a say in government employees that kill.

The presumption of innocence means all persons are innocent until convicted.

Can I shoot somebody that almost hits me with their car? Can I fire more than seven rounds in self defense? Will the victim that was shot be charged with assault while I walk away without question? As long as I'm afforded the same rights to protect myself as law enforcement, I will agree with you.

He was guarding his neighborhood, he saw somebody suspicious, he was assaulted and defended himself with a gun. Sound similar except it was federal property and federal guards. Zimmerman gets demonized by the media and received death threats, the federal guard that shot a 15 year old in defense doesn't even get a mention and no reported criminal charges. Typical state double standard. Liberal statist hypocrites. Equality my a**.
