If treason is against the government, then treason would be an act committed against ourselves. Unless the government is something other than "we"?Hmmmmmm....
TREASON Offense of attempting to overthrow the government of one's country or of assisting its enemies in war. In the U.S., the framers of the Constitution defined treason narrowly—as the levying of war against the U.S. or the giving of aid and comfort to its enemies—in order to lessen the possibility that those in power might falsely or loosely charge their political opponents with treason.
JUST BECAUSE SISSY SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO...BUT HE THINKS IT DOES!!!!! JUST BECAUSE MC1 SAYS SO DOESN'T MAKE IT SO!!!!!

Look at all that anger... Yea, I have a problem with people like this owning assault weapons!
Yup someone tells it like it is and the 1st thing you wish to do is disarm them, not surprising at all, actually this is what I been telling everyone about you, thanks for admitting it.

There are several threads presently mixing many different views of the 2nd Amendment. Much of the problem is that some on this board mistakenly have the position that the 2nd amendment allows citizens to take up arms against their own government. Or...as it's commonly called "TREASON".
Why is it federal government policy to assist foreign populations to commit treason against their own government by arming revolts and in the case of Libya, actively engaging with our military? Wouldn't that make the federal government an accessory to a crime?
So you agree that opposing restrictions on second amendment rights is far from treason, and box is going WAY over the top with his treason hyperbole.
you forgot this part of the statement "as the levying of war against the U.S. or the giving of aid and comfort to its enemies" and don't forget it clearly states "political opponents" As for my views on gun control, 2nd amendment or any other, I haven't provided that, so please DO NOT take a posting of mine and synthesis it as my position...thank you.

Can it also be construed as our Government intervening to prevent crime that is occurring, and that the crime is being committed by a well armed or overbearing power that the victims are unable to adequately defend themselves against???? Don't you believe there is always more than one side to a story???

So what is your opinion on Operation Ajax?

Actually we are still seeing the fallout of our actions from back then but moving on, what about Mubarak or Gadaffi, we were aiding them just weeks before we started aiding the revolts, if it had anything to do with protecting people why are we staying out of Syria, Syria is making Libya and Egypt look like a school yard fight.

Damned if you do Damned if you don't If we moved on Syria or Iran there would be several on this forum condeming or Government for the actions... So, what is it you would have us do?
By the way, I didn't say I condoned the AJAX, and if you see another post of mine you would also see my thoughts about Iraq, Vietnam and others.

I would stay the hell out but right now it doesn't matter, we screwed up because we aided the tyranny these people lived under. Maybe we tried to cover our asses by acting like we cared or maybe we had different reasons like currency trade. Oh and I never said you condoned operation ajax but I thought it was necessary to bring up for having nothing to do with our national security.

Understand what you were getting at, but the problem I have with AJAX and other actions, including WMD, Iran, Libya, Syria, Benghazi, etc., is tht the only thing we the public know is what information we are allowd to know. And the information that our Governmetn gets when making decisions is what they are given by the intelligence community and from intelligence agencies aroudn teh world.....how reliable is that.....well, for the most part I want to believe it is very reliable...but we know that it is not.always reliable. So there is a huge flaw in the system, but one that has always been there and always will be. If James Bond wre real, then maybe we wouldn't make mistakes...but we do.

Well I don't buy we are doing it for the good of the people, ajax was about interests in that region, knowing that how much trust can we have when given excuses why we must bomb here or overthrow there. Look into the currency trade with those that were overthrown, one thing is similar and that is they all wanted to trade outside the dollar for their resources. Isn't it funny how we aid dictators when they act like our puppet but throw them under the bus just like that the second they stop playing nice. Then the countries we overthrown like Afghanistan the people consider the new leaders US puppets. Meh who the hell knows like you said.
