Why not take the dollars we now spend subsidizing oil companies and spend it on buying back guns at the
present value.

The value of ones item is whatever the person says it is, now it is up to the buyer to see how much he is willing to pay for such an item

No, it's up to the govt to offer a fair marker price for the guns.

It's true what they say about Conservatives... They ARE "fear motivated".  It's a defect in their brain that
increases their response to fear and causes their paranoia.

You are the one reacting out of fear of law abiding gun owners.

Your lord Obama will save you from the threat.

The last three posts... examples of Right Wing Paranoia.

How did Australia manage to buy back those guns??? Do the Aussies have more dollars than we do to stop
gun violence???
Why not take the dollars we now spend subsidizing oil companies and spend it on buying back guns at the

Australia is a country of sheep bred from a former prison community.

America is founded on basic rights of freedom and liberty.

Are you going to support US troops going house to house taking assault rifles using deadly force?

Of course you are.

Obama is your God.

The lame @ss excuses on this board are really amazing!

Senders... "BIG DEAL"
Yea Senders... it IS a big deal.  If that bullet went through one of your kids, you wouldn't be posting "big deal".

Henry... "Is there any purpose for an AR-15 other than killing a bunch of people? ."
The answer is of course, yes.  But they were designed for the purpose of killing a large group of people in
a short amount of time.

"The AR-15 is the media's evil gun of the month, after the North Hollywood shootout it was the
AK-47 clones that were under attack."

Both are assualt weapons and both are the subject of 'assualt weapon bans'.

L4Life... who, after lying about the number of assualt weapon killings... then comes back with ... what?
~  I made a mistake?
No.
~  Does he say that his information was flawed?
Nope.
What is his excuse for making up FACTS to fit his agenda??? What is his response???
"So the count is up to 1.  As the country of little cowardly girls continue to tremble."
The family of those firemen who were killed... are they your 'little cowardly girls trembling'???
Are their families your "cowardly little girls trembling"?
Do you think their parents, their friends, their kids are comforted to know that their deaths, are counted by
people like you as:
"So the count is up to 1."  You're a real human  being L4Life.  "The count is up to 1"... I'm amazed!

A Better Rotterdam seems to be the only reasonable post of the bunch, and makes a lot of sense with his/her
post that hits the nail right on the head...
"Is there any purpose for an AR-15 other than killing a bunch of people?
"Seems to give all reasonable guns a bad name."
You can hunt with an AR15, but that wasn't their designers purpose.  There is no advantage to using an assualt
rifle to hunt over a dozen other rifles of the same caliber.

The designed purpose of assualt weapons is to kill a large group of people in a short time... and they are very
good at it.

"Seems to give all reasonable guns a bad name." Exactly!

life is not perfect...it would be a big deal to me and my own....I would cry the rest of my life....but, guess what?
life goes on, it might suck sometimes but I can't spend my life worrying about taking a trip up the northway
because in 2010 there were 6337 severe injuries from car accidents on nys highways. Legal folks that took the test
to drive and got insured.

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

The agenda seems to over come common sense!

L4Life... I'm a law abiding gun owner!  (I know, I know... that doesn't help your position does it!)

I'll post it one more time...
I support the 2nd amendment...
I support good gun laws.

Is that what you read in my post?

My post said: "it's up to the govt to offer a fair marker price for the guns."

Fair market price is set by the cost of the product across the market.
Quoted Text
'Fair Market Value'
Fair market values are widely used across many areas of commerce. For example, municipal
property taxes are often assessed based on the fair market value of the owner's property.
Depending upon how many years the owner has owned the home, the difference between
the purchase price and the residence's fair market value can be substantial.

Fair market values are often used in the insurance industry as well. For example, when an
insurance claim is made as a result of a car accident, the insurance company covering the
damage to the owner's vehicle will usually cover damages up to the fair market value of the
automobile.

What your home owners insurance would pay you for your gun when it is stolen is fair market
value.
So your homeowners insurance is, like me, a "full blown goose stepping Nazi"!

A good insurance policy pays you what the item would cost now to replace it.

I (and our government) is attempting to deescalate the NRA Plan to sell more guns by promoting
the need for an ever increasing weapons option.

I believe in the 2nd amendment... but that doesn't mean  a machine gun in every closet,
a RPG in every garage or an assualt weapon in every home.

I'm not the one escalating the US civilian arms race... that honor belongs to the anti govt types
on this board, and the NRA!

No they're not.  They are decreasing the weapons options for citizens.  The people at the DoD call weapons manufacturers to develop new and more lethal weapons.  They sit and watch with erections as the weapons representative puts on display the newest and deadliest state of the art weapon that they are trying to sell to the government.  Then the DoD decides to purchase a large volume of these weapons at the expense of the citizen.
