PRINCE GEORGE, VA (WWBT) -
Students at a Prince George junior high school were evacuated after a bomb threat Monday morning.
The threat was received at N.B. Clements Jr. High around 8:30 a.m. and reported by a faculty member to the police department. The school was evacuated and bomb-sniffing dogs from Ft. Lee were brought in to search the property.
Neither police, nor the K9s were able to find anything suspicious. Students and staff were allowed back at the school around 11:30 a.m.
Police are still investigating the crime and are asking anyone with information to call Crime Solvers at (804) 733-2777.
County, school and police leaders pledged their commitment to find the individuals responsible for this incident, as they say school safety ranks as a priority.
