Do soldiers feel guilt when they kill foreigner in the name of the flag? Or when they drop bombs on innocent civilians?

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness. John Kenneth Galbraith

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
STOP BEING GOOD DEMOCRATS---STOP BEING GOOD REPUBLICANS--START BEING GOOD AMERICANS

Hey, you choose to play the game of semantics with Senders. You defined a criminal of incapable of feeling guilt about anything. I just figured inquiring minds might want to know if killing in war comes with or without guilt. If it is without guilt, then by your definition they are criminals. If it comes with guilt, then they know they are doing something morally wrong - like murdering.

Sorry for the uncomfortable question. I thought that a couple of former combat Marines might be able to help with clarification about guilt free killing.

No semantics....offered my take on his comment.....you know, offering a different view and not operating in a narrow minded vacuum like others.
As for your question and flippant "combat" remark....again, you just play a game........suggest you find someone dumb enough to buy it!

The number of military suicides would suggest they do feel guilt.

Cissy is still dealing with "daddy issues" and takes his insecurity out on Marines who are anonymous on this board.

I do have a few regrets from my Vietnam years though... I was on R&R and had the opportunity to do two women, but only spent the weekend with one of them... I'm afraid it is a life long regret
