See RP?
They NEED to out gun their opposition... And their opposition is NOT criminals... It's the govt.

No, you don't NEED to OUT GUN the opposition, but rather equal footing.  The POLICE and gun grabbing legislators feel the need to out gun their opposition.  Why?

And as your cartoon points out, that opposition they want to out gun is the guy with the "Obama's a terrorist" shirt, and not a school shooter or common stick-up man like they used to pretend it was.

Why does a homeowner NEED to outgun the police???
That makes no sense... Unless you plan to do battle with the police... Which is exactly what I keep
hearing on this board.
The police NEED to "offensively" go after criminals...
The homeowner NEEDS to "defensively" defend their home... A very different task!

Well, if the police need the same weapons that the gun grabbers want restricted from the citizens and use those restricted weapons to go after criminals, how do you logically make the leap that citizens don't need the same weapons the police use to PROTECT themselves from the criminals?

If police believe criminals have dangerous weapons and don't obey laws to justify them having weapons that are now being banned to citizens, and 9.9 time out of 10 you will be confronted by a violent criminal WELL before police arrive - why wouldn't you have the same weapon that the police would use if THEY were confronting the armed criminal?

It doesn't make sense.  Unless the lives of police are more valuable than the citizen.

I don't need to out gun the police, I just ask that I be armed with the same capabilities as the police.  The police are the professionals right?  They would know what kind of weapons you need to defend against an armed assault.  Why would you want to restrict private citizens the same weapons that police deem necessary to defend themselves against violent criminals?  You want to disarm the majority of law abiding citizens of weapons that the police believe necessary to defend against criminals.

Box I don't see it that way at all. What is being said is WE as homeowners deserve the SAME protection to defend ourselves, our families and our property AS the police have.  No one is saying its to protect themselves from the police

First you talk about race wars, and then guns against the government.  Why do you feel everything is a conspiracy?

Maybe it's Cicero's lack of understanding of how the police work that keeps him from understanding even
the most basic concept.

I'll try again, with emphasis:

The police NEED to "offensively" go after criminals...
The homeowner NEEDS to "defensively" defend their home... A very different task!

(Reuters) - The number of extreme anti-government groups in the United
States grew to an all-time high in 2012, and a backlash against federal gun control
measures could fuel more growth in the movement.

Active militia and so-called Patriot groups totaled 1,360 last year, a massive jump
from the 149 recorded in 2008 in an annual count of extremist groups....

Active hate groups identified by the center are scattered throughout the country
and include the Ku Klux Klan, neo-Nazis, white nationalists and racist skinheads.

In a letter on Tuesday, the center's president urged Attorney General Eric Holder
and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to shore up federal resources
devoted to countering the threat of domestic hate and extremist groups.

"As in the period before the Oklahoma City bombing, we now also are seeing ominous
threats from those who believe that the government is poised to take their guns"

The Patriot movement last reached a peak in 1996, a year after right-wing extremist
Timothy McVeigh set off a truck bomb outside the Oklahoma City federal building,
killing 168 people. McVeigh and a co-conspirator were convicted. McVeigh was
executed.

Yeah, they offensively go after armed criminals after the victim was out gunned defensively.  Like the Hollywood bank robbers that out gunned their victims.

Quoted from Henry
So going by your picture the criminal will still have a higher capacity gun, the citizen has a doubled barreled shotgun and a revolver +8 shots between the 2 guns, the crook has a pistol resembling a glock which would hold 15+1 in the chamber. Thank you box this is why we are against it, I like that picture. Also notice the only one affected by the law is the law abiding citizen, not the criminals they say they are trying to stop. What a epic fcking fail on your part box

Exactly right. Box shows that the regulations will clearly give the advantage to the criminals.

Plus the new black market that it will create, the increasing costs of police to hunt down these
new black market gun sales, and the incremental loss of liberty.

The incremental loss of liberty means nothing to the "It's all about me and the children"
crowd, who demand protection from law abiding people.

While the government continues to stockpile weapons at a higher rate than ever, in the history
of the human race.

Action equals reaction, always.

The escalation of force by the government will always be matched by their victims.

Both at home and abroad.

Further restrictions will likely bring the patriot group numbers up into the 10,000 range.

Continued government stockpiling of weapons will always be matched as well.

You can't win an arms race.

You can't outgun physics.

The escalation of the drug war is a good example.

Stiffer penalties including life imprisonment was met by armed resistance from drug dealers who
never considered guns as being needed before.

The government created gansterism.

Again.

They didn't learn from the days of prohibition.

All actions are transferring of energy. All actions create an equal and opposite reaction.
You can't always recognize it, but it comes back as armed resistance, bad attitudes,
hatred and protests.

Reactions don't just spontaneously appear from nothingness.

Laws of physics don't allow it.

Denial of consequences of government actions causing reactions, won't make it stop.

The government builds potential terrorists with every drone, gun grabbing attempt or use of force
anywhere in the world.

you're not a criminal until you're guilty

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

You are a criminal by your actions.
Guilty is a state of feeling and/or discovery.
Criminals do not believe they are guilty of anything.

Do soldiers feel guilt when they kill foreigner in the name of the flag?  Or when they drop bombs on innocent civilians?
