The New NRA APP... Coffin Shaped Targets

The National Rifle Association released a new app on Sunday that includes a gun range equipped with
"coffin-shaped targets", and the option for players to simulate using a military-grade sniper rifle.

A list of some of the ideas currently being floated by Mayor Mike Bloomberg and others:
• Reinstatement of an expired ban on assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition

• Requirement of universal background checks for firearm buyers

• Track the movement and sale of weapons through a national database

• Strengthen mental health checks

• Stiffen penalties for carrying guns near schools or giving them to minors

• Make gun trafficking a felony

• The Justice Department should step up prosecution of criminals who try to buy guns.
(In 2009, the latest year fully recorded, only 77 out of 71,000 people who had been convicted
of gun crimes and tried to buy guns were prosecuted.)

• The Justice Department should crack down on rogue gun dealers

• Requiring law-enforcement notification of customer purchases of more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition

• Create a database that would allow the ATF to track all gun sales.

• Outlaw armor-piercing bullets

It will work great for new gun sales, but for pre-existing ones?? Hello, black market.

So you wish to ban 99% of all hunting rounds? A 30-06,308,223 and anything in between will blow a hole straight through most bullet proof vests, oh I see maybe that was their idea all along. Mayor Bloomberg LMAO the same guy who wants to ban all sugary drinks, for your safety of course

[ using a military-grade sniper rifle.

Oh this is getting good, please explain to me what a military grade sniper rifle is, is it just a rifle that is accurate, does it need to be a special caliber, please what makes it military grade hahaha.

No Henry... I don't "wish to ban 99% of all hunting rounds".  (but that's what the Right Wing Gun Nuts
want you to believe! (Keep drinking that Right Wing Cool Aid "sugary drinks")

G. Federal Fireams Laws

Quoted Text
1. Federal Law and Armor Piercing Ammunition

The definition of AP ammo is at 18 USC sec. 921(a)(17):
"(B) The term `armor piercing ammunition' means-

  (i) a projectile or projectile core which may be used in a handgun and
which is constructed entirely (excluding the presence of traces of other
substances) from one or a combination of tungsten alloys, steel, iron, brass,
bronze, beryllium copper, or depleted uranium; or

(ii) a full jacketed projectile larger than .22 caliber designed and
intended for use in a handgun and whose jacket has a weight of more than 25
percent of the total weight of the projectile.

  (C) The term `armor piercing ammunition' does not include shotgun shot
required by Federal or State environmental or game regulations for hunting
purposes, a frangible projectile designed for target shooting, a projectile
which the Secretary finds is primarily intended to be used for sporting
purposes, or any other projectile or projectile core which the Secretary
finds is intended to be used for industrial purposes, including a charge
used in an oil and gas well perforating device."

New NY Gun Law Proposed

A tentative deal to further tightening gun laws in NY state has been agreed upon.

The tentative agreement would further restrict New York’s ban on assault weapons and limit the size of
magazines to seven bullets, rather than the current 10.
It would also refine a mental health law that allows for civil confinement of people determined to be a
threat to others.

There is a further crackdown on illegal gun trafficking into New York. Most New York City gun crimes involve
weapons illegally brought into the state, state and city officials say.

Which means the use of most semi-automatic handguns and a good portion of rifles and shotguns will now be illegal in NYS. The guns themselves will be grandfathered but the clips will not be.. They are expected to be turned in...which makes the gun(s) useless until lower capacity clips are available..at your cost, of course. And we know the Registration won't be free
In addition, the gun ownership cannot transferred in NYS.. So unless you go to another state to sell it, the gun gets confiscated when you die. That's why I'm predicting the registration process will fail miserably.

As far as the mental health issue, if it is structured like the child abuse hotline, it's another way to get back at your neighbor... You can hotline them without cause, remain anonymous, and even if it is deemed to be unfounded, the person hot-lined is on a DSS list for ten years.

All of you hysterical little girls should get together and have a nice little tea party, where you can discuss

Because everyone knows that new laws solve everything. No crazy people will ever be able to find another
weapon again. The world will be a safe place for everyone thanks to the hysterical little girls making new
laws that crazies and criminals are sure to follow.
