"To the victor go the spoils" has been a war cry for centuries, and women are categorized as part of the spoils of war.
Women, paintings, gold, anything of value or use, every invading army pillage in times of war, it doesn't matter what country or how civilized they think they are it happens.
"In the beginning of a change, the Patriot is a scarce man, brave, hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, however, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a Patriot."
I guess I should be more specific when dealing with some on the board who have limited knowledge on just about any subject, but especially those who post about the military... when their only real experience in the military was that they "saw a movie once".
I used to try to educate these poor creatures but found that they seem to be unable to learn anything outside of their comfort zone.
(Oh, BTW, my R&R was in Japan. )

We don't need movies or first hand experience, the horrors stories of what took place have come out, well lets just say those who survived to tell their stories.

Yes it's true... my 'great regret' still haunts me to this day.
Yuka and Shizua... I was a fool!

TOOK THEM BOTH??? LOL! I'm afraid your "movie education" is still falling behind the facts. NOTE: You do realize that the video you posted is fiction right???
I did have a very nice dinner of very exotic food and a fun evening where the three of us ate dish after dish of unpronounceable food... I have no idea what it was, in a very nice hotel.

NOPE! It's funny to watch people with no real knowledge of the situation, rely on stereotypes and their "movie" experience, attempt to be credible.
Other than Joe... I don't think anyone here, really gets it. My experience in the military doesn't live up to YOUR expectations of what it should be.
Like dealing with a room full of 1st graders.

Box its ok, what happened in the past is in the past, we are here for you if you want to talk about it. Sometimes talking about it and opening up is the best way to move forward in life, that and staying away from cupcakes.

Thanks Henry... If you don't mind... I will share something from that traumatic time in my life... Yuka and Shizua... Shizua and Yuka... Yuka OR Shizua... the possibilities are endless and I'm afraid that I limited my choices and took the traditional route instead of going for the gold. I was young... Relatively inexperienced... away from home in a strange land...
You are right Henry... it's in the past... What happens in Tokyo stays in Tokyo! (No cupcakes there but lots of sushi! )
