Republicans to filibuster their own proposal! Amazing!

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) introduced legislation to raise the debt ceiling
on Thursday, apparently with the intent of showing that even Democrats would not support
such a bill.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) called for a vote on the legislation, which would have
given the president the authority to raise the federal debt ceiling on his own.
Senator McConnell was forced to filibuster his own bill.

Can the Republicans be any more dysfunctional?

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

O'connell also wanted a amendment attached to a Russian trade bill that would have put Geitner's original budget offer up for a vote

Reid refused to allow a vote on it...

This is a case of a Senator opposing his own bill as he introduced it with no changes or inclusions.
Senator McConnell was forced to filibuster his own bill.

right now this generation clash is dysfunctional......

they don't get into those offices on their own.....they aren't elected out of a vacuum......

they want STATUS QUO.....

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
