Again, Cic, you posted as if it were a war on Muslims... the war is on terrorism.  At the moment they happen
to be Al Qaeda, and inaccessible by normal means of capture.  
In the past they've been Terrorists that were also Christian, but just as deadly no matter what their religion.

The last Terrorist who was a Christian that I remember being executed by the US Govt was
Timothy McVeigh.  Had his religion been Muslim (as many in the US thought until his capture) or Jew, or
atheist... it matters not, to the fact that he was a terrorist.

Great, I see your premise now!

The federal government has deemed everybody on earth a potential terrorist.  In doing so, the federal government has given themselves the authority to seize the assets of, capture, or kill anybody on earth, whether they are Jewish, Muslim, Atheist, Christian, Catholic, Eskimo or whatever other group, as long as the Administration occupying the White House and their lawyers have suspicion they are about to commit a terrorist act.  And through this whole process, the federal government does not have to prove reasonable suspicion before carrying out their execution.

Let's take this premise to the civilian level.  If as a homeowner I am suspicious of a person that is a potential threat to my life, my family, or property. Do I have the extrajudicial authority to act upon those suspicions and capture or execute the suspected threat?   I'm sure your answer is no.  Not only do I have to have the police conduct a formal investigation to verify my suspicion, but if my suspicions are correct and I do have to shoot an intruder entering my home, I then have to prove in the court of law that my use of force against the intruder was justifiable.  

AND, even if I make it through criminal court, the intruder's family has the right to sue me in civil court if they believe their loved one was wrongfully murdered.  You can't say that about "terror suspects", since the evidence is classified.  

So in conclusion, it seems that the federal government, or the White House to be more specific - has granted itself the AUTHORITY to kill or detain ANYBODY they consider a threat to the state without giving evidence of probable cause.   Yet the people that they govern are NOT granted those same right and are subjected to due process, courts and criminal penalty.  

NAH...BUT THAT ISN'T FASCIST OR AUTHORITARIAN - THAT'S PROGRESSIVISM.
