The union leaders will be out of a job or at least reduced now that those union jobs are gone.

DO AS I SAY, NOT AS I DO!

The acting CEO of Hostess Brands, the failed Twinkies-maker, will not take part in a company-wide pay cut.

Though he imposed an 8 percent pay cut for all Hostess workers, Gregory Rayburn's monthly $125,000 pay
-- or $1.5 million a year -- will remain unchanged. Rayburn is not on the Hostess payroll and therefore
isn't subject to the imposed pay cut, the spokesman explained.

Hostess appointed Rayburn, founder and owner of Kobi Partners, a restructuring advisory firm, as acting
CEO in March, two months after the company filed for bankruptcy a second time.

Hostess' liquidation plan was approved last month, as were $1.8 million in bonuses for executives.
Rayburn is "not eligible to receive any bonuses, success fees, or severance," according to the spokesman.

Um... It's the Union's fault!!!

why do we 'like' jobs better than self reliance? because it's easier and simpler to ride the moving walkway that someone else
built....but it does cause aggravation and finger pointing....

Here's a thought...
What if, since so many citizens seem to be upset about the potential loss of Twinkies, Hostess could be declared "Good for America" much like Proctor's
is "Good for Schenectady", and kept going through taxpayer support, much like we underwrite shows like Disney's Lion King? After all, just because there aren't enough Twinkie fans willing to actually buy the things to keep the company running, allegedly, well, Proctor's allegedly can't sell enough ticketsto run the place to break even, as a business.
Hostess must be declared a not-for-profit! It is too "good for America" to let it fail! We, the taxpayers, should be paying the guy who runs it (we sort of are anyway, aren't we?)!
This could be a win-win! Or at least what passes for a win nowadays.
