Mideast coverage has been lacking balance

    I have a comment on the media’s never-ending blaming of Israel for the Gaza debacle. All they seem able to print or air are the Palestinian deaths of civilians and the horrors they are facing. You never see anything of the Israeli death tolls and horrors, or their largest cities (Tel Aviv, Jerusalem) being constantly under [siege].
    I wonder where the fairness is — especially since the Palestinians are the ones that started this. Yet we seem to only acknowledge the horror the Palestinians are going through.
    I am not Jewish but I am afraid this is not being viewed fairly. When did we become so one-sided?

I have to agree with the Vatican on this issue.

Israel claims they are merely defending the truly innocent Israeli citizens.

They justify killing any Palestinian because they voted for Hamas.

The Palestinian attacks are crimes.

Killing people who did not commit the crimes is terrorism.

If Israel declared war, one would expect collateral damage.

Failure to declare war makes Israels crimes the same as the Palestinians.

Israel has killed and injured a hundred times what the other criminals have done.

How about letting Palestine become a recognized state and let them build military bases, have a standing army and manufacture their own ammunition?  Then they won't have to launch their weapons in residential areas and they can launch their attacks from "legitimate" military installations.  If they had that capability, I'm pretty sure the Israeli's would stop building settlements on Palestinian land and putting economic sanctions on them.
